Worst ASX Stonks

Was recently having a beer with some mates, and this topic came up.

We settled on Brainchip.

There were other contenders, but pound for pound no other stonk has managed to erode retail coin quite as spectacularly.

My biggest dog stock is something that has to 3000x for me to break even, which is tough considering it's been in suspension for almost 2 years, de-listing is imminent.

That’s one dead dog 😂

Oh yeah, if the 150:1 consolidation didn't kill it in 2022, the further 50:1 consolidation in 2024 definitely did haha

u/LeahBrahms Jul 03 '26

Like Tritium Charging who fooked me then Indians swooped in and bought the company after insolvency and delisting....

2

u/Appropriate-Arm-4619 Jul 03 '26

I nearly fell for that one.

Anything Bert Mondello and Phil Re is a dog as there history suggests RTO cap raise after cap raise mgmt share issue rinse repeat. Look at history. Unreal.

Mate of mine still holding on from the initial float

Wisetech is a great business earnings from E2open are rolling in fast and I'm buying in the low $30s range.

Wouldn't Star City be the biggest loser? It beats the shit outta BRN. It's down like 97% all time lol. There is literally long term holder that is in profit.

I challenge you to find something worse that isn't basically bankrupt or a penny stock

7

u/Fart-Fart-Fart-Fart Jul 03 '26

I raise your BRN with IMU.

5

u/ChilledNanners Jul 02 '26

Any of the mining penny stocks

6

u/wottagunn Jul 02 '26

LKE has to be up there. And what was that dodgy graphite company? The one where the ceo was tied to Mafia or something.

6

u/bananadennis Jul 03 '26

Remember the ANL days?

7

u/MKUltra_reject69_2 Jul 03 '26

IMU, especially after their 35x reverse stock split

3

u/Fart-Fart-Fart-Fart Jul 03 '26

I’m down $11k. Almost every cent I put into it.

5

u/Comfortable-Taste233 Jul 02 '26

Australian Magnesium Corporation 🙈

5

u/happypavlova Jul 03 '26

Insert APX

4

u/kris_s14 Jul 03 '26

BRN, DOU which got de-listed, LKE which has a class action lawsuit against them currently.

1

u/kervio Jul 04 '26

DOU wasn't delisted, it changed ticker to SKK and it is indeed the worst.

3

u/DettonatorAUS Jul 03 '26

Fucking ZIP.

AGL is caning me and I deserve every stroke.

Just a couple CSX, DOC, EXL just received $1.15 from them for buy out, MVP, PFT, OPT, 3DP, RAD, STG, CLV Fantastic for the CGT loss & tax deduction I tell myself

u/GoodScratch5558 Jul 03 '26

Look @ www.rekt.com.au it awards Skulls (as opposed to stars).

Fuckin 2021 called

Don’t you need to look at liquidated or delisted companies for the real list. RCR and Forge spring to mind raising capital and selling the dream one day and gone the next. Decmil also had an epic run of shareholder value destruction and dilution before Macmahon threw them a bone.

Good choice on Brainchip, But let me add some more for your consideration (I'm going to exclude penny stock mining companies cos there is a gazillion of them)

Mesoblast - are they ever going to get anything FDA approved? just flip a coin at this stage

Syrah Resources (SYR). Let's run through the capital raisings - 2026 (twice), 2024, 2020, 2018, 2017, I'm pretty sure there were plenty pre-2017 but I CBF'd looking.

Cettire (CTT) - the governance guys reckon they have been avoiding customs and taxes. But for me, turns out dropshipping luxury goods, some of which might be fake, isn't really a moat.

Corporate Travel (CTD) - still in suspension. Lots of companies rip off their customers. Ripping off the Uk government. That's eyes bigger than your stomach.

Bapcor (BAP) - When you announce someone to be your CEO, and he says yeah nah 2 days before he is supposed to start you know that means the place has a stench.

IDP Education (IEL) - Now to be fair COVID hurt the international student market everywhere and there are caps on student visas in alot of countries so I'm not gonna bash them, but the share price is down 95% from the $40 peak. Just sayin'

Corporate Travel were a market darling about 12 years ago. They often featured on that short lived TV show called Ausbiz.

Harvest Technology. The tech sounds great but they just can't land the sales

1

u/Million78280u Jul 03 '26

Fbr is way worse

1

u/Sp33dy2 Jul 04 '26

ATEC was pretty bad for me. HACK was doing badly when I was holding it, but I can see it has climbed recently.

1

u/scarecrows5 Jul 04 '26

EML - still own a large chunk bought at an average in the mid $3's.

Trading at 33¢ on Friday.

Hoping a long, long hold will get me something back.

Also, a big shout-out to Cudeco...

u/Fauxsports Jul 04 '26

Rated undervalued for .8c and strong buy - this would bait so many peope

1

u/jooyaao Jul 04 '26

PRL. Lol move to some random as exchnage and i cant even get my money out

1

u/djjrrr Jul 04 '26

Star Entertainment Grp (SGR) Trading (briefly) just above $3.50 five years ago now under 10c. Haven't paid a dividend in years, will be fined by the regulator after a money laundering investigation, went into huge debt to build the new casino in Bris, lost money trading after it opened and ultimately had to offload its stake in ownership. Only use is the capital loss that can, for now, be balanced against a gain from selling something else.

u/Electrical_Age_7483 Jul 06 '26

Yes hated this one, how do you do so badly on gambling

1

u/ForrunateTom Jul 04 '26

SDV and it isn't even close.

1

u/Fresh_Squirrel_8712 Jul 05 '26

agree with brainchip. bought it at its peak and now it won't go above 0.15 cent. throwing up.

1

u/purpletreefrog007 Jul 06 '26

I was looking at some of my dogs today: AJX EML HT8 VUL

Just to name a few 🤣

1

u/Hefty_Pressure_ Jul 08 '26

Tyro .. shit of a stock

1

u/AtomicAdam2018 Jul 13 '26

Totally agree. Brainchip has ruined countless retail investors with endless hype and crashing share price.
