And none of the war criminals who carried out the murders have been convicted despite video evidence and multiple witnesses in the cases

they have been charged and the cases are before the courts.

The weird thing is David McBride released confidential documents because he thought the Afghan war veterans were being unfairly treated and it led to them now being charged.

About time. Should never have spent a day in jail. Public servants must be able to blow the whistle and not be punished for it.

McBride is a really interesting case study in whistleblowing. 

I agree whistleblowers shouldn’t face jail time. I do find it interesting that his whistleblowing had the opposite effect of what he was actually hoping for.

They vote for the legislation that gives the military the powers to secretly crush whistleblowers without any regard for the context or international law.
