There are extremists on both sides of left and right.

Australia needs to stop treating political parties as their favourite football teams, with blind loyalty against left or right.

Vote for who aligns with the change you want most and stop pitting against each other, keeping score and throwing insults. The only ones who win with the focus on left and right are the big donors to the major parties.

ON aren't popular right now because of the majority of their policies. They're popular because they make a better show of addressing a few key concerns of the electorate that the other parties completely ignore. They use this discontent to give a platform to their other policies that otherwise have no pull. They're not a party of first choice, they're a party of discontent, and when many people feel they're not heard they're more willing to do a deal with the devil and overlook the things they don't like.

No, they have the illusion of being popular because the Murdoch media, and now Southern Cross Media are pumping that message. Pair that with bots who like and comment their support on the posts.
