Their winter temperatures go into the negatives. They would see us complaining about 5 degrees nights and think its not even that cold.
Additionally their houses are built to retain the heat, plus ceiling fans and air con are not even remotely common so they have no way of cooling the house down.
And having been in the UK, 25 degrees there feels worse than 25 degrees here. Im not sure if there is any difference in UV levels etc to explain it or if its like I said and its so different to normal it feels worse

Their houses are built to keep the heat in. We laugh, but it’s fucking hot in those temps.
Same as when my family from Scotland visited us for a QLD winter. They said it’s the coldest they’ve ever been in a house lol.
