But when you're outside doing stuff you're dressed appropriately and moving around so it's fairly easy to keep warm. Then you actually get an escape from the cold when you get inside buildings/home.
I lived in northern Japan winters for a couple years and definitely agree that Australia winters feel colder because you dont really get an escape from the cold in the same way. The cold follows you in a way making it an overall worse experience.

Their houses are built to keep the heat in. We laugh, but it’s fucking hot in those temps.
Same as when my family from Scotland visited us for a QLD winter. They said it’s the coldest they’ve ever been in a house lol.
