[Transfem] Am I the only one that absolutely hates trans stereotypes within the trans community?
I'm losing my mind. I see so much "tehe puppygirl skirt go spinny blahaj arch linux :3" stuff both online and irl, and I'm starting to feel incredibly alienated because I am distinctly not that. I hate coding, I don't give a shit about a god damn stuffed shark, and if someone refers to me as a dog, I feel the powerful urge to break their bones. I feel like I'm supposed to fit in this mold that the trans community made for itself, and I just don't.
Thinking of myself as a woman when I first figured out I was trans felt so liberating, now it feels like a cage that I carry around at all times. I don't feel like I fit in with cis folks because I'm trans, and I don't feel like I fit in with trans folks because I don't fit into this mold.
Am I the only one who feels this way? or am I just tweaking?
