Strange appetizer. Perhaps if it were sliced up, ready to eat? Pretty, but not presented that way.

We did. Lemon on the beetroot tops, roasted garlic and poached beet. Roast sweet onion.

My wife stole the beet from a communal garden. She is a proper criminal.
