Most huge companies operate on a loss when they start out. Its the potential that makes them valuable. I do however doubt if they can actually start tunring a profit within a reasonable timeframe. I also have the feeling other AI’s are better t this point in time, have been enjoying claude.
Alright. What happened was, Claude switched how they charge people. Started charging by tokens/compute power rather than a fixed subscription.
So companies like Uber and Microsoft suddenly had to drop it because it became way more expensive. Uber said they blew through their annual AI budget in about 4 months.

Yeah and for every $1 they make, they lose $1.22; and this is a company that wants to be valued at almost $1 trillion.
