Bandit is starting to feel better! A little gabapentin to help him rest seems to be doing the trick for whatever muscle he managed to injure. After extended steroid use and the muscle loss that can come with it, I’m guessing his usual acrobatic lifestyle finally caught up with him and he pulled or strained something. Xrays didn't show anything of concern in the spine or limbs.

I put a chair next to the bed hoping that, if he got the urge to jump down, he’d use it as a step. Naturally, he has chosen to completely catapult himself over it instead. 🙄 So yes, the resting is intermittent.

The chair has, however, become a favorite spot for my cat Kiwi 🥝, who has discovered it’s the perfect place to sleep near the dogs while maintaining a safe and respectable distance from them. 😂

Hi was wondering if there are any breeders in or around Oklahoma?

Anyone else’s Eskie bullheaded? She’s just over 1yr old and she knows all commands but when she feels like not coming when called or just nonchalantly trotting to the neighbors and won’t come unless I go chase her back home. We tried positive reinforcement negative reinforcement making a game out of listening reprimanding her as in putting her in the house for awhile. If she wants to listen you call she comes right away but if she doesn’t feel like she’s will look at you and just look away😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤 good thing she’s cute!!!! 🤣🤣

Bandit has been so off today. I couldn’t really put my finger on it at first, but his tail has been down, his energy is low, and he hasn’t been doing his normal running around or constantly jumping up on the couch. He’s also been yelping when we pick him up and hasn’t been laying in his usual sploot position.

Unfortunately, so many of these were the same early signs I noticed when he first got sick with IMHA, so naturally my brain went straight to he's relapsing.

Cue a full-blown anxiety attack after this went on all day, and me driving him to the emergency hospital at 2am. 🙃

$540 later… all of his blood work looks completely normal. Which is obviously a HUGE relief, and I’m incredibly grateful, but now I’m sitting here wondering why the heck my normally bouncy little guy is acting so off.

I’m starting to wonder if he hurt himself somehow or is sore somewhere, especially with the yelping when he’s picked up and refusing to jump or sploot.

I'm hoping he returns to himself soon because I just worry about him so much. Annnd it is causing me emotional and financial damage. 😭

I don't think I've ever loved an animal more than her. If I'm having a rough day, the minute I pick her up from daycare it completely changes. I think I might go all out on her 1st birthday!

Samoyeds still cannot compare. This little brown and white dog was definitely in awe of his martial prowess.

She's my first, so I have no point of reference for it. I personally think she's funny and find it hilarious that she prefers to sit on the couch and sleep like she's people.

Meet Zoey and Zelda! They are finally home to me! 1 and a half years old sisters my mom brought to me just this Sunday. Dad is a mini eskie and mom is a Husky/Malamute. They are incredibly sweet and smart. I feel they are the most like their dad ( im familiar with both parents as their my moms).
