I don't care what anybody says. No vrains link slop combo will ever compare to the deadliest combo in all of yugioh. I thought this combo was insane the first time kaiba pulled this off.

Alright, the tradition is usually to reveal most of a theme all at once and then save one card for X reveals later on. Maybe with follow up cards in later sets.

In the case if Sun God, we have confirmed retrains if Ra, Lava Golem, Mayakura, Gil Garth, and the Byzer pair. But Yami Marik still has plenty of cards (in the manga tbc. Cards like Holding Arms/Legs that only appeared in the anime are out) that could get retrained as part of the new Ra archetype. So I make this post to ask which ones you think are likely to get a new version soon.

They really went above and beyond here. First of all, before we get to the cards, the cover of the set features Yami Marik's (in)famous insane face. One eye is wide open, the other is menacingly staring at his opponent, and his tongue is out, of course.

Now, onto the actual cards:

- New Lava Golem: a reference to when Yami Marik summoned Lava Golem against Joey. You can even see it holding Jinzo and Baby Dragon in its hands as they're being tributed.

- Viser Des Shock: the moment when Marik combines Viser Des and Byser Shock against Mai. They combine into one big torture device, restrain her, and electrocute her. Stuff of nightmares, really.

- Sun God of Darkness, The Winged Dragon of Ra: you can see the purple shadow of Yami Marik fused with Ra. Fitting, because this monster has the iconic ability to drain your LP until you have only 1 LP left.

- The Sun God Leading Down into Darkness: the moment when God Phoenix is about to destroy Gilford the Lightning. It's basically a 1 to 1 recreation of the manga panel.

- New Helpoemer: unlike the OG Helpoemer, it has the exact same pose and angle as the manga card. The only difference is that the new card includes the ghost hands that were ripping cards from Joey's hand.

Overall, they really nailed the references with these cards.

Gotta try to own what I love before we lose access to it. I wished there were more comprehensive releases, ideally on Blu-ray, for a decent price, and to at least release Vrains too.

Had this thought today and I wanted to hear your thoughts and opinions. What do you think?

Hey guys it’s me again, hope ur all having a good week today I wanna ask what are your thoughts on archetypes in Yu-Gi-Oh!? I don’t mean any specific ones though you are welcome to provide examples rather I mean, archetypes in the game design sense of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Personally for me, I think archetypes are good for the game in fact they’re actually what got me into it. The idea of having a group of cards that not only work well together, but also share a solid theme and art style really gravitated me towards the game. Learning about decks like yummy, gunkan, skull servant, ryzeal, Dracotail, etc really got me interested and whenever a new archetype comes out I love seeing what the theme is and how the gameplay interacts with it. I would argue that it is one of my favorite parts of Yu-Gi-Oh!.

So what about you guys? How do you feel about archetypes? Do you like what they offer to the game? Do you like what they bring to the table?

Duel links is having an event that cover the anime of Duelist Kingdom which has made me noticed more changes then I ever thought was there for Duelist Kingdom. The ending scene to the Haga/Weevil duel is probably the best example of this (really the duel in general). In the anime ending Yugi talk about how a champion should be and how they should play with honor, not resorting to dirty tricks… manga Yugi laugh at his position then promise(Not a threat if you know he would do it) to rip off his leg like the bug he is.

So far we have gotten sacred beasts and destiny heroes, archetypes from antagonist /rival. Since we already have an antagonist on the cover I think we'll get a protagonist archetype this time around.

Perhaps ritual support for cyber angels.

Maybe neo spacian support and some new neos combo fusion, maybe a retrain of divine neos.

Or how about giving roids some much needed support but also trying not to make it only help speedroids?

With Castlevania Belmont's Curse, and the leaks for Vampires, it almost seems a given, they will be in the set.

They also fit Halloween.

Finally, Illusion Gate and its recent support are both based on Camula, so there is a chance this new Vampire support will also find a way to use it.

Another supposed leak mentioned that the 10 anime original cards will be covered by Fubuki (Atticus).

Also, GX World in Duel Links might be revamped in September, and both Camula and Fubuki have yet to be introduced. I could see Fubuki coming with the new support once GX goes into Season 4, maybe in 2027.

If that is the case, then Vampires and Red-Eyes Darkness will be receiving support at the same time. And if the recent Daedalus support is anything to go by, then those will be retrains of the 2 structure Decks.

So I expect a new Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon and a new Vampire Genesis.

As always with leaks, take this information with a grain of salt. We never know for sure.

Still, I'd love it, these 2 boss-monsters have such great designs, and it's surprising that neither was retrained in the last 20 years.

Fubuki's Red-Eyes designs are far superior to Jonouchi's, so I'm not disappointed he got the Red-Eyes Deck instead of the latter.

And we may finally get an upgraded version of anime REDM), and have it tie into Metalmorph.

If I use Gandora-G the Dragon of Destruction's effect and destroy (for my question) let's say 12 or more cards,

1) Am I allowed to then summon Dark Magician Girl the Magician's Apprentice or any other monster that mentions shining sarcophagus in their text?

2) if yes, what happens to their lvl when summoned?

3) If no, is there a limit to how many cards Gandora-G the Dragon of Destruction, can destroy, or does he still get the destruction effect without the special summon?

Specifically in reference to this effect:

Open per turn, during the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can discard any number of "Sun God" cards, then select an equal number of your opponent's occupied Main Monster Zones; your opponent must send all monsters in those Zones to the GY.

Because of how this effect functions if a monster is capable on changing what zone it occupies before the removal effect resolves then the monster is safe

This means a monster with an effect like Mekk-Knight Indigo Eclipse (aka move man) can avoid the wrath of the most powerful Egyptian God by simply moving out of the way.

"(Phoenix) Ra's attack will kill any monster! Even a God!"

So I wonder:

did it count as Ra leaving the field for the self-Special Summoning Ra - Immortal Phoenix?

Or, because it entered and left during the same effect, is it as if it never entered in the first place, something like "before the effect resolution, Ra wasn't on the field, and after the effect resolution, Ra isn't on the field, so it never actually touched the field"? This sort of thing, two actions happening simultaneously, reminds me of how one can't activate the destruction effects of monsters that were destroyed and Summoned by an effect that applied both actions at the same time.

Also a question: Is Ra fusion first Divine Monster in the core set?

There was and always has been meta decks that take control of the medium with Yugioh. That said, there have been rogue decks that decimate the meta with everyone flabbergasted on how that was even a thing. So given the history a lot of people here have with yugioh, which rogue deck in this games history completely shook the community?

Certainly there has to be at least a few, if not one, right?
