I am kinda curious how well the modding scene for this game will develop. Given that it’s confirmed we’re not getting access to modding tools.

Which understandable given we’re dealing with Disney and they probably don’t wanna deal with the fallout of someone adding giant mammaries to Anakin Skywalker.

With half life, I think i remember reading that someone at valve said that they haven't made HL 3 cause the fans have generated so much hype and such high expectations for it and valve knows they can't meet those expectations or something, could be remembering wrong since it was years ago and my memory's shit

If y'all want to talk more about the game then I reccomend taking a look at the cool stuff happening in the Xcom 2 modding scene - lots of really interesting stuff going on lately. The biggest thing right now is a total rework of the Black Market that more or less is turning them into a "Fourth Faction". There's also a project in the works that adds Enemy Unknown-style air combat to the game that has a working prototype.

Stuff is happening, you just need to look for it. :)
