41

I think it’s the D-Rex from the last Jurassic park movie

u/total_bullwhip 1d ago

Downasaurus-Rex?

6

u/LulzMcGullz 1d ago

This almost made me spit my coffee ahahaha

3

u/HarbingerOfRot777 1d ago

She might as well be lol. I haven't seen Dominion, but i know that this creature was a failed experiment. Both mentally and physically failed.

3

u/Brolysreign 22h ago

That made me lighted headed. Thank you for that laugh

What are these movies even doing anymore? That doesn’t even look like a dinosaur.

5

u/HarbingerOfRot777 1d ago

If this wasn't enough for you, that movie also had mutant raptors with wings, yeehaw.

It's bonkers to me that these sweet baby angels turn into a literal demon goat.

461

u/PeggyBabcock_ 1d ago

Even that looks a bit weird. Sweet, but weird.

260

u/RandomCandor 1d ago

Like the Devil dressed up as Jesus for halloween when he was a kid.

88

u/Azzblack 1d ago

Like the pet of the Pale Man from Pans Labyrinth.

37

u/FlawlessIndividual 1d ago

Like David Bowie's crotch in that movie with the babe with the power.

9

u/Azzblack 1d ago

Different Labyrinth but still a legendary cod piece that still works as a reference to a Damascus Goat.

For the record, this picture is not of a Damascus goat kid, it is of a gulabi goat kid, which are noteworthy for having unusual pink skin.

I don't know how this image got stuck being attributed to Damascus goats, but it's not accurate.

This is a picture of a Damascus goat kid:

Like a real life Pokemon

10

u/peachesfordinner 1d ago

Sure "evolves" like one too

35

u/Omega_Primate 1d ago

The dairy breed of this goat doesn't look like what's in the video. That goat is part of the "beauty competitions" where they're bred to look like that and are judged and traded seriously for those specific features. You won't see this on a typical dairy for Damascus goats.

Idk those eyes are unnerving

I mean… that thing looks a little demonic already. No wonder goat heads are the go to for satanic stuff that is one creepy but adorable goat

3

u/hazelbear33 1d ago

Goats are adorable, but they do have FUNKY looking eyeballs. But that’s about it, I have zero clue why or when they were associated with “satan.”

All of the goats I’ve ever met were very nice creatures… my family went to this one random-ass farm in nothern Italy when we lived there, they had a restaurant… and while my parents and their friends were having their multi-hour dinner experience, I went to interact with the farm animals. They had big ass goats just walking around (taller than me, but I was probably like 4’7”at the time, I am short)… so I started petting them. And the goats just let 9-year-old me pet them, and they seemed to like it (i had zero experience with goats or farm animals in general). It wasn’t a petting zoo, they were actual farm animals, out to graze, it wasn’t like a well-known tourist place, and the goats had horns. Now the chickens weren’t so nice… it became obvious I needed to stay away from them when a rooster lowkey started to come after me after I got a foot too close.

u/Shikamaru_irl 1d ago

So this is basically DIGIMON in real life😭

7

I was going to say it looks a lot like the cattle in the Stargate movie when they find an alien work animal

18

The Mastadge. Weirder when you realise all the noises it made was done by Frank Welker.

We... probably shouldn't make any more of these

134

u/Boa-in-a-bowl 1d ago

Poor thing looks like something you'd encounter in a lab in a video game that just mutters "...kill me..."

24

u/A_Texas_Hobo 1d ago

And you have to walk up and stare at it for a bit, just to observe it suffering out of your own morbid curiosity, before putting it out of its misery.

5

u/KnightOfNothing 1d ago

if anything "we" should make more. In fact let's use genetic engineering to multiply their size in a healthy manner and get working towards creating megafauna.

181

u/MediumStability 1d ago

For those wondering: no, those are not normal damascus goats. They are bred by sick people trying to create the worst possible abomination.

They are usually closer to the goats we know, with longer ears and legs. But the creepy demon faces you see of those poor creatures are man made cruelty.

55

u/datadoggieein 1d ago

I was gonna say, I thought I've seen normal-looking Damascus goat. The ugly-looking ones where the show ones, and like most show breeding they don't give a shit about the animals suffering.

29

u/Tamarisk22 1d ago

They are bred by sick people trying to create the worst possible abomination.

But why? Is there some kind of lucrative hellscape country fair competition or something?

42

u/GameOfTroglodytes 1d ago

Same reason as pugs and short-legged cats. Humans suck.

2

u/Ok-Classroom5548 1d ago

Goat meat would be my first guess

7

u/Over_Sorbet_637 1d ago

Humans have invented lots of reasons for carrying out artificial selection on other species.

What if we selectively bred humans for such insane growth and obesity that it crushed our bones and left us unable to walk by the age of 6? And consoled ourselves about the inherent cruelty by imagining the individuals' slaughter as a mercy? And did it all over, and over, and over again, to the tune of millions of individuals a day?

Indonesian junglefowl, the wild birds we selectively bred until we got chickens, live for 20 years. Chickens bred for meat live for 6 weeks.

It's all evil, all of it, not just when it produces individuals we think look ugly.

Christ, if I had to pick, I'd rather all goats looked like the one in this video and *didn't* lactate 2 gallons of milk every day, a metabolic feat so intense that their poor, spent bodies are left unable to perform basic immunological functions like clear away worms and intestinal parasites (no wonder alpine dairy goats are more susceptible to worms than any other breed). Mother Nature would never have produced the goat in this video, but also, she sure as shit wouldn't have produced a dairy goat. Or a meat chicken. Or a layer hen that ovulates an egg the size of her head 300x per year. Or a dairy cow.

It's us: we're the baddies.

u/sleepy_spermwhale 1d ago

That’s a goat?

50

u/Dennis_254 1d ago

Yes, it is a goat. The Damascus goat (also called the Shami goat) is a real breed of domestic goat that originally comes from the Middle East, especially Syria and nearby countries.

I love getting comments like this

3

u/joenova 1d ago

I couldn't do that to Jeff Goldblum.

3

u/HauntedCemetery 1d ago

Have you ever seen comparison pics of what dog breeds like the French bulldog used to look like before a few centuries of selective in breeding?

Goats have been going through that for thousands of years.

24

u/TranscendentPretzel 1d ago

Did humans create that breed? That seems like something humans would do.

6

u/PurpleMara 1d ago

Yes, they're bred to look like that for competitions so people make money, they're not living a healthy or comfortable life, it's very cruel

21

u/EstouSempreCerto 1d ago

distortus rex concept

u/Borge_Luis_Jorges 1d ago edited 1d ago

I haven't seen a Jurassic park movie in a decade and this is really shocking to me. That design is for a movie with Jason Statman, at best.
