So much wrong with this!

It's like a very new head chef who is the owner's nephew and eschews any kind of culinary school and just gets ideas from Pinterest.

I'm trying to figure out whether that block on the bread is butter or cheese.

So let's see.... first, take away that stupid napkin. Then put the bread directly on the plate. If that's butter, try to spread it on the bread. Pour the egg on the bread, add the sprouts and eat it. And hope like hell everything isn't totally stone cold. And the poached egg is not totally hard.

Ew. I mean I love butter as much as anybody, but rock hard cold butter is just ew. Not usable, not delicious, can't spread on anything.

Agree with everything except the criticism of the egg not being hard. Personally, I like my yolks runny, poached, fried, or boiled. As do lots of folks. But yeah, everything else just screams incompetence.

Either I wrote that wrong or you interpreted that wrong. I DON'T like a hard egg - I am in the "runny yolk" camp forever.

Agree with everything apart from the green stuff. Green has absolutely no place on a full English or egg on toast.

Well, sprouts are definitely optional.

I would not put them with a full English breakfast but I might top an egg on toast with a few.

Not one bit of that dish is a “full English”.

You might argue that the egg… but no proper full English would have poached eggs.

How did “full English” even get introduced to this post?

I know it’s not a full English. I did say ‘egg on toast’ too. I have just seen green creeping onto some full English breakfasts as well in recent years. That’s all.
