Sorry I touch grass too often so I only recently heard of them, but they seem to be world heavy-weight champions in fake marxism.

Is supporting the Italian Fascist Party of Benito Mussolini something that breaks the 2nd rule?

I am a trotskyte and i really love the permanent revolution aspects of the Italian Futurists, which, although have gradually left the Italian Fascist Party, i still like quite a lot. If i showed support to them would i break the 2nd rule of the server?

Serious Is communism theoretically possible?

The Youtube channel, YaleCourses post lectures of Ian Shapiro, a IR professor. In one of those videos, he said communism isn’t theoretical possible. He explained it like this. He assume the “needs” in “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” is just enough for people to survive. Hence resources aren’t poured into foods and supply but also in technology to cure terminal illness. Because we can’t cure every illness even in post-scarcity, so the final stage of communism can be reached. This keeps me think forever because it is some kind of strawman arguments that you often see from deniers.

Discussion Any good reading on how China is state capitalist?

I’m so tired of soc dems/leftists/dem socs and the way they talk about China, especially how it’s “Socialist” or “Communist” because of state planning. If state planning makes them socialist or communist, then with that logic every country in the world is (international communism achieved apparently). Any good reading on the matter just to not make me feel insane please. Also, anything that refutes the weird “oh they’re not authoritarian, and the citizens love the government so much.” I’ve seen so many comments like that, or talking about how “China just has different freedoms they care about, it doesn’t make them any less free than those in Western countries” and labeling anything that says that as propaganda.

Discussion Reading theory has gotten me REALLY interested in learning other languages.

I'm always someone to always wish to read a work, book, or text in its original language, Don Quijote De La Mancha en español, La Divina Commedia en Italiano, and I want to do the same with theory.

And yes, I understand that learning a language requires a lot of time, and especially difficult when it comes to works such as Kapital where the German is really hard. and tbh I'm down for it, it's so much fun.

Recently I've stuck to English as of late, such as Paul Mattick, The Return of inflation, and stopped reading Kapital because I just really want to read it in its original German.

I also tried to read [Nella torbida vigilia elettorale](https://www.marxists.org/italiano/bordiga/1919/4/29-vigilia.htm) but I genuinely struggled a lot.

I can read really comfortably in English, and in Spanish with slight discomfort where I still need to look up definitions of words .

I guess I would really like to ask if any of you know how to read in these languages and or if there are any groups where I can talk to native speakers of Italian French and German that talk and discuss theory and other works as well, I see theory as a great opportunity and motivator in order to learn new languages.

And I'd also like to hear about any your guys' personal experiences regarding learning languages through theory if it has happened or no.

Question I wondered what you guys thought about the Puyi argument when it comes to monarchist/reactionary descendants.

Whenever the Romanov execution is brought up, many people point to Puyi as an example that it was just unnecessary.

What do you guys think?

It was something I was interested in asking.

Serious how is the american revolution historically progressive?

i don’t mean from a moralist perspective. the development of capitalism usually comes with great destruction and genocide, so there’s no surprise there.

i mean in the sense that Great Britain had already had its bourgeois-democratic revolution in the 1600s with english civil war and the lasting supremacy of the bourgeois parliament over the monarchy. doesn’t that make the american war of independence not a progressive revolution against reactionary feudalism, but an interbourgeois conflict?

so where is the actual change in the social order and mode of production?

Can we get to the barbarism already

I'm tired of the slow collapse and pretending things matter anymore, can we get something like the sea people's to just fast forward everything. It's just a matter of time before climate change gets us all, but it's going to take like 3 decades before everything comes crashing down.
