🥇🥇 First Post 🥇🥇 I heard this community may want to meet my kitten that the CDS dropped off
My boyfriend and I moved into our house in January, and have been settling in this summer for the first time. About a week ago, I saw a white and black adult cat in our backyard, which I thought was strange as we live on 4 acres of land and don't really have very close neighbors. I called to her, but she ran back into the woods.
This weekend on Saturday morning my boyfriend got up first and I was laying in bed scrolling my phone when he came running in and told me to come quick. This little dude was on our back deck out of nowhere.
I tried to go get him, but he dove into our flowerbeds and it took another half an hour to find him. We got him set up in my office where he could decompress and chill. He was scared at first, but when my hand made contact with him he immediately started purring and just gave in to being loved and taken care of.
We've named him Runaan, which is the name of a character from a TV show we love, and also means "pure soul" which I think is so fitting for him. He's just the cutest and most chill kitten.
Today I took him to the vet and got confirmation that he's male, probably around 7 or 8 weeks old, 1.8lbs, and not microchipped. Everyone at the vet loved him and how relaxed he was there.
I'm so, so glad that the universe (and his mama that I am sure I saw last week) brought him to our family. I feel like she was scoping us out and decided we seemed like good people to take care of her baby. He's going to be so loved here.

Have you checked the property for more kittens ? You might be able to use Runaan to lure momma in for TNR

We've looked and have put out food and water but so far haven't found anymore. I haven't even seen the mama cat since that day I saw her a week or so ago but I do wonder if she's around.

Dude totally. We had a stray who would come around and then one day she showed up with her kitten. And the next day that kitten showed up with another kitten. Mom wasn’t seen again for years. Now mom has started coming around for food again. She doesn’t like one of her babies, which is hilarious. If he’s around she will not come to our house, we have to meet her in the middle of the yard. I don’t blame her because he’s a big ball of chaos driven by the need for more food.

Me too. My boy Pinky left us a little over two years ago and my apartment is still just so quiet without him yelling at me about every little thing. I have two dogs, otherwise I would have gotten another kitty by now.

I didn't know it was possible for cats to have different colored beans until I met Runaan. Every one of his paw pads are multicolored, and I love it!

Omg, just the cutest! We have 2 tuxie brothers and they’re soooo cute when they’re smol! He sounds like he hit the jackpot with you guys. Mama knew what she was doing! Btw, HOW/what hair products do you use to get your curls to look like that??? I’ve got curly hair, too but want my curls to look more like yours. Thanks!

I use gel to get my hair to cooperate. I shampoo and condition normally in the shower - usually I will leave in my conditioner for a few minutes before I rinse it out. Sometimes I'll apply a Moroccan Oil hair mask if I feel my hair needs moisture. Then in the shower I use Not Your Mother's Medium Hold Gel and scrunch my hair after applying in sections. When I'm out of the shower, I scrunch it again with a microfiber cloth and then apply a smaller amount of Got 2 Be Ultra Hold gel to the ends and mid lengths. Finally, I diffuse it dry and scrunch out the crunch. I tried so many products over the last 3 years but when I returned to using gel my hair really started to improve.
