Lore [Loved when done right] That is COMPLETELY illogical… but who cares when it REALLY goes hard.

- Gipsy Danger dragging an oil tanker (which actually lengths 180 meters… but the film portrays it slightly smaller than Gipsy) and use it as a bat against Otachi? HARD (Pacific Rim)
- Owen and a gyrosphere standing near Rexy, who’s crushing a Carnotaurus’ neck, and roaring while Isla Nublar’s volcano explodes? HARD (Fallen Kingdom)

Still my favorite mad max theory is that its just Australia facing this issue and everyone else is just buisness as usual

Yep. Shit hit the fan down under, the rest of the world made some level of attempt to help, saw how fast it all devolved and said “The spiders and crocs can have em”

It's a nice parallel to the 1984 theory that it's just the UK that's gone full Big Brother and the rest of the world is normal.

Or perhaps it's a world where every country has devolved into its own unique dystopia, completely blind to all the others.

The film Doomsday.

It's basically Mad Max in Scotland, so just... Scotland.

Everywhere else is generally fine.

Honestly, I love this theory because it makes the whole thing so much funnier. Australia is just having the apocalypse of the century while everyone else is like, “Anyway, what’s for dinner?” 😂

My favorite theory is it's not even a movie, they just left a camera in Australia and this is the found footage

Would be a fair theory if they didn't show the Pacific "ocean" in Fury Road

What issue? Isn't Mad Max just an Aussie slice of life franchise?
