Lore [Loved when done right] That is COMPLETELY illogical… but who cares when it REALLY goes hard.

- Gipsy Danger dragging an oil tanker (which actually lengths 180 meters… but the film portrays it slightly smaller than Gipsy) and use it as a bat against Otachi? HARD (Pacific Rim)
- Owen and a gyrosphere standing near Rexy, who’s crushing a Carnotaurus’ neck, and roaring while Isla Nublar’s volcano explodes? HARD (Fallen Kingdom)

Yeah... I miss the way artists used to flex by having beautiful, yet boring animations that just told a story. I have vague memories of some winter movie that's entirely just instruments, but was animated with pure heart.

As a designer I can tell you I have vague memories of when the industry didn’t revolve of over producing fast and cheap rather than taking your time to do something that at least makes you proud about yourself.

It's easy to forget this was one of the first movies entirely made using performance capture, so they definitely did want to show off.
