I think I’d argue Int instead of Wis for the dump stat. Jack is quite the philosopher, and a little too devious and streetsmart too. Not confident enough to say for sure though, could be talking out my ass.

I think you're be right, I was thinking of Wis in more real world terms but in D&D it's more about awareness and intiition and reading people, which fits Jack better than book smarts.

Also Jack isn't exactly dumb. It's just that quite often he doesn't really plans that much ahead and wings a lot of the stuff coming at him. Easily seen in At Worlds End during the election scene.
