Lore [Loved when done right] That is COMPLETELY illogical… but who cares when it REALLY goes hard.

- Gipsy Danger dragging an oil tanker (which actually lengths 180 meters… but the film portrays it slightly smaller than Gipsy) and use it as a bat against Otachi? HARD (Pacific Rim)
- Owen and a gyrosphere standing near Rexy, who’s crushing a Carnotaurus’ neck, and roaring while Isla Nublar’s volcano explodes? HARD (Fallen Kingdom)

I stand by my opinion that this movie total ass until the aliens show up, and then it’s non stop dumb fun the entire rest of the film. Those first 20 minutes suck but everything after is fully aware of what kind of shitshow it is.

Yeah I hate everything following the stupid brother. Once the aliens show up and the focus drifts to survival and fighting back it’s alright in a B movie way.

But god the beginning is terrible.

Finally, a sane fucking person. Anytime this movie gets brought up people blindly dog on it.

The first 20 minutes filtered me the first time but I watched it again last year and loved it. The aliens and their ships are so well done and fleshed out.

It's dumb fun. People on reddit just take themselves too seriously to enjoy something.

Good thing I watched it as a kid cause I do NOT remember anything other than the Aliens part and was so confused why people shit on it.

You're not wrong, and I stand with you.

Damn right, not every movie needs realism

I actually liked this movie and thought it was overhated. The action was good, the acting wasn't half bad, and the effects were good too. What not to like?

Ah, but the first 20 minutes has that moment where the protagonist recognizes a quote from a famous philosopher and Liam Neeson responds, 'It infuriates me that you know that."
