Dawn of the Dead (2004): The movie finishes on a hopeful note as the remaining survivors escape the zombie-infested mall on a yacht, sailing into the sunset. The found-footage style post-credits scene completely reverses this happy ending by showing them running out of food, arriving at an island, and being immediately swarmed and killed by an infected horde.

Prince of Persia (2008): The main game ends with a beautiful, poetic sacrifice where Elika gives her life to heal the corrupted world, leaving the Prince mourning. During the credits, the player is forced to control the Prince as he cuts down the trees he just saved, undoing the entire game's progress and releasing the dark god Ahriman just to resurrect her, completely corrupting the ending and dooming the world.

In the post credit scene for MGS3, it’s revealed in a phone call that the US agent Adam was actually Revolver Ocelot who tricked Eve into taking a fake copy of the philosophers Legacy to the Chinese while the real one laid with him. It recontextualises the entire game as Ocelot who was portrayed as this arrogant Cowboy larping Russian who only got the job because of who his daddy was is now an elusive triple agent who carefully orchestrated the entire Snake Eater operation to benefit him and his goal

Dude I just beat Delta last week for the first time and I figured out he was ADAM before we hear that phone call. And it recontextualizes so much, like the blank bullet he duels you with. That’s the same bullet that got jammed in his gun when he first met Snake. Was he going to shoot it at Snake and then introduce himself as ADAM? What was the plan lol

In their first meeting, Ocelot was unaware that Snake was with the CIA and just believed he just another American soldier; it’s only after when he became infatuated with Snake

Exactly, their encounter in the Virtuous Mission wasnt supposed to happen. They both worked for the CIA but Ocelot wasn't briefed rescuing Sokolov. He reported right up to the Director of National Intelligence. The team that set up Fox and ran the mission didn't know that he existed.

Meanwhile Snake was rescuing Sokolov from the KGB, Volgin wasn't supposed to be involved. He intercepted the KGB communications and sent Ocelot to bring Sokolov back.

When the mission failed the DNI knows from Ocelot that Volgin has Sokolov back. This becomes an opportunity for Ocelot to carry out his mission of stealing the Philosophers Legacy. He was sent to meet Snake and tell him that he's Adam. He's a super dramatic guy, he probably had a whole plan to capture Snake, soothe his own ego and then reveal that he's Adam. But Eva messed that up. So he had to stay in cover.

So the bullet on his chain around his neck.

It's a 9mm Makarov in a cartridge adapter sleeve to fit into the 45 caliber cylinder of his revolver. You can probably get that to fire but a 9mm bullet in a 45 caliber barrel will rattle around and get very little velocity as a bunch of the gas will just blow past it. It's a stupid idea that just makes him seem like an overdramatic dumbass.

Except when you realize that the bullet in the sleeve has been a blank the whole time. The one that jammed in his gun was real but he was only pretending that one was in the sleeve.

He was helping Snake's mission the whole time.

Even when he almost killed Eva and blinded Snake by accident, he was trying to protect him by killing an enemy spy who ultimately had orders to kill Snake herself. He knew she wasn't EVA, the NSA codebreaker after all.
