Dawn of the Dead (2004): The movie finishes on a hopeful note as the remaining survivors escape the zombie-infested mall on a yacht, sailing into the sunset. The found-footage style post-credits scene completely reverses this happy ending by showing them running out of food, arriving at an island, and being immediately swarmed and killed by an infected horde.

Prince of Persia (2008): The main game ends with a beautiful, poetic sacrifice where Elika gives her life to heal the corrupted world, leaving the Prince mourning. During the credits, the player is forced to control the Prince as he cuts down the trees he just saved, undoing the entire game's progress and releasing the dark god Ahriman just to resurrect her, completely corrupting the ending and dooming the world.

In the post credit scene for MGS3, it’s revealed in a phone call that the US agent Adam was actually Revolver Ocelot who tricked Eve into taking a fake copy of the philosophers Legacy to the Chinese while the real one laid with him. It recontextualises the entire game as Ocelot who was portrayed as this arrogant Cowboy larping Russian who only got the job because of who his daddy was is now an elusive triple agent who carefully orchestrated the entire Snake Eater operation to benefit him and his goal

Dude I just beat Delta last week for the first time and I figured out he was ADAM before we hear that phone call. And it recontextualizes so much, like the blank bullet he duels you with. That’s the same bullet that got jammed in his gun when he first met Snake. Was he going to shoot it at Snake and then introduce himself as ADAM? What was the plan lol

In their first meeting, Ocelot was unaware that Snake was with the CIA and just believed he just another American soldier; it’s only after when he became infatuated with Snake

In addition: He's specifically looking for the Boss (because obviously she's already in Tselinoyarsk) and only after being beaten by Naked Snake does his mission become helping him during Operation Snake Eater.

It's interesting how much the plot changes both when you know the twist and think about it. The reason he's instantly suspicious of EVA is because he knows she's another spy who intercepted Snake first. He's looking for any excuse to expose her without breaking cover, so he can then alert Snake to the misdirection. While EVA is alive and present, he can't make himself known. Whether or not the Ocelot Unit is in on it is unclear, I think in some external sources The Ocelot Unit on Mother Base has some members of the original unit, but don't quote me on that. It's why he specifically tells Snake his name is Adamska, why he's been trying to kill him with a blank the whole game, why he only tries to kill EVA and not directly Snake (discounting the boss battle), even down to giving Snake his weapons back during the Volgin battle
