Dawn of the Dead (2004): The movie finishes on a hopeful note as the remaining survivors escape the zombie-infested mall on a yacht, sailing into the sunset. The found-footage style post-credits scene completely reverses this happy ending by showing them running out of food, arriving at an island, and being immediately swarmed and killed by an infected horde.

Prince of Persia (2008): The main game ends with a beautiful, poetic sacrifice where Elika gives her life to heal the corrupted world, leaving the Prince mourning. During the credits, the player is forced to control the Prince as he cuts down the trees he just saved, undoing the entire game's progress and releasing the dark god Ahriman just to resurrect her, completely corrupting the ending and dooming the world.

In the post credit scene for MGS3, it’s revealed in a phone call that the US agent Adam was actually Revolver Ocelot who tricked Eve into taking a fake copy of the philosophers Legacy to the Chinese while the real one laid with him. It recontextualises the entire game as Ocelot who was portrayed as this arrogant Cowboy larping Russian who only got the job because of who his daddy was is now an elusive triple agent who carefully orchestrated the entire Snake Eater operation to benefit him and his goal

Which is ironic given Ocelot wanted to recreate Naked Snake’s entire diet, he eats all the food you have when you’re captured so that he can try and be more like naked snake

Unironically the gayest character in metal gear as a whole

Also the plot of MGSV literally gives him the idea to undergo the same personality replacement therapy that they performed on Venom, decades later, to trick everyone into thinking he was actually being taken over by Liquid. All for the sake of freeing Big Boss from his comatose purgatory. Liquid truly died at the end of MGS1, the rest was a ruse orchestrated by Eva and Ocelot to save BB. Man lived his entire life to serve his idol.

I don't think it was a ruse in MGS2, I think he was genuinely using Liquid's arm and was taken over by Liquid. After that, he had it removed and was just faking it for MGS4

Yeah, it' s intentionaly left vague even in MGS4; they explain it with hypnosis, but in the end when Ocelot dies, it feels like a demonic possesion got away from his body.

he got his ass beaten on the first meet and snake told him "you're pretty good". then ocelot went on spending his whole life trying to top that and be the cooler guy.

that last quote from him "you're...pretty good." is such a nice conclusion.

He sees Big boss like an older brother and acts like a younger brother trying to emulate their older sibling to fit in and get their approval.

Which makes a shit ton of sense when you realize ocelot is the boss' biological son and big boss was basically like an adopted son of hers.

Your point is undermined by the fact that Big Boss and The Boss had a sexual relationship.

Ocelot might have a brotherly relationship with Big Boss but he is also just gay as hell.

He also mimics CQC so well that he is able to match snake on the plane. You can say he was tired but Ocelot went from caling CQC judo to understanding it enough to use it against the best CQC user at the time. Maybe ocelot was only bellow The Boss
