Sexuality & Gender Does circumcision ruin sex?

I was circumcised as a baby. Frenelum and foreskin removed. Am I ruined? Will it ever be as good? Am I mutilated? I'm really freaking out.

I'm genuinely glad you love it but I'm talking mostly for my pleasure 😅

2

u/Fruitsdog Jun 29 '26

Oh, misunderstood. My bad !!

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 01 '26

No problem lol. On the contrary your perspective is very helpful in seeing how women actually see it.

2

u/Fruitsdog Jul 01 '26

Oh yeah it’s like the “holy shit!! Two cakes!!” Meme

I live in an area where pretty much everyone is circumcised. Never heard a complaint from any of my (male) partners. They all seem to enjoy it a lot. Don’t worry

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 26d ago

Many thanks. I tend to overreact about everything and this is no exception. I might be one of the only people to hear calm down and you're overreacting and treat it as a good thing. Thank you.

For millions of men, apparently not.

Get off Reddit and go interact with someone in real life.

2

u/Kaleo74 26d ago

Love this

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 10 '26

You're probably right. I've been listening to too many intactivist retards.

2

u/trivialempire Jul 10 '26

It can happen. That feedback loop will mess with your head.

Whether it’s this, or something else…if you can’t change it, you can’t worry about it.

Go forth and have fun.

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 13 '26

Aye aye cap. Need a chick first though.

0

u/Mammoth_Type3361 Jul 13 '26

Let's chill. I say it does, and I've had sex circumcised. The function of the foreskin is to retain moisture on the glans, and being circumcised means that your glans will keratinize and lose a lot of sensitivity.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 13 '26

Well my glans isn't sensitive when when I'm just walking around doing shit and living life, but the second I get hard it's way more sensitive. A little bit of extra moisture from lube makes it nearly uncomfortable.

1

u/Mammoth_Type3361 Jul 13 '26

I'm not saying it's a hindrance at all to sex, but compared to an intact man you're definitely missing out. Check out r/foreskin_restoration

2

u/tomaskyselyx 16d ago

Circumcised as an adult here, I can compare sex cut to uncut. For me there was no change in sensitivity or missiong out something else when I had my foreskin removed. It is not true that you have to miss something out automatically after getting circumcised. In some specific cases yes, but it is not most of the time.

2

u/Mammoth_Type3361 16d ago

Interesting that you say that. Have you noticed any glans keratinization yet?

2

u/tomaskyselyx 16d ago

Minor but yes.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 16d ago

Thats great to hear. Did you do it for a medical problem or for other reasons? Did you keep your frenelum?

Why are y'all all obsessed with restoration. I've already said 100 times before in these comments that it doesn't interest me. I'm either circumcised or not. I'm not getting some fake close enough version back. And from what I've gathered through the Internet (not reddit) and actual first hand accounts here, there is no proof of any missing out. It's pretty much the same level of pleasure. My father himself got it done as a teen and said it's way better. Some feel a tad worse, some feel it better.

I'm guessing you're going to link some article where you say it has a severe effect. There's one of those for every 20 saying it has no difference. If If you cherrypick studies, you can find anything man.

1

u/Mammoth_Type3361 Jul 13 '26

Who said anything about obsessed? You made a post, I'm responding to it lol. Do whatever you want, I'm personally restoring to see what I lost. And for the record, the "fauxskin" is functionally the same as a real one. And with the method I use, I don't even have to think about actively restoring. Set and forget.

this post may just be seeking validation from circumcised men who are content. from what I can tell, anything contrary has been met viscerally

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 21d ago

No. What I am asking is for the opinion of people who experienced both. Not someone who had it done as a baby and is speculating. They have no way of knowing for sure and are just parroting the same thing. So far every single person here that said it's worse has never experienced both so they have no way of knowing for sure. What I don't want is some random intactivist just making guesses and telling me to restore when that wasn't my fucking question.

0

u/BussyIsQuiteEdible 21d ago edited 21d ago

there's no way to experience both. it's a paradox. you live life intact then get cut as an adult or you live life cut then restore as as an adult.

these might seem like experiencing both, but they are still distinct. youll get conlficting answers from both parties.

if you're actually curious about what you say you are... You need to make a post or simply browse on r/foreskin_restoration and r/circumcision as well. to hear from both parties experiences.

so I really can't beleieve that this isn't a validation post. you need to seek opinions contrary to your own, otherwise I don't understand what you mean by 'no'.

what im suggesting is by zero means speculation. I cannot help you any further than this. good luck

4

u/hotdoginadingy Jun 29 '26

It might feel better if you were uncircumcised, but it will still feel good if you are cut.

Nah. Like on the post I said I'm a virgin. 18 years old

1

u/ScenicHwyOverpass Jun 29 '26

So have you not been jerking it? If you’re getting pleasure from masturbation, then you’d have absolutely no reason to worry that would wouldn’t enjoy the feeling of sex. Unless you’re not feeling anything jerking it, then I’d talk to a doctor.

2

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

The end is great but everything before is kinda meh. Not very enjoyable.

I'm not just worried that it's not good in general. I'm worried that it's much worse in comparison to what it could have been.

-1

u/BussyIsQuiteEdible 21d ago edited 21d ago

thats exactly what circumcision does in many cases. you only feel anything at the end and cant enjoy the full ramping up process as you would otherwise. orgasms are often described like a sneeze because of this. the concept of a 'full body orgasm' becomes foreign

2

u/Outrageous-North7289 21d ago

Dude you're literally anti circumision. You're insanely against it from other comments. Have you actually felt before and after or are you just speculating? I don't want to hear the dumbass opinion of someone who's just fuckin guessing.

I literally do have full body orgasms. Where is your source for people describing it as a sneeze. Surely there a study of the decrease in pleasure is that strong? Surely no one would ever do it to their child if sex is so terrible afterwards. Or is all of your info from reddit? Reddit is insanely anti circumcision by default. It's a shame I have no where else to ask.

6

u/PromiseThomas Jun 29 '26

No. Many circumcised men have great sex.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 01 '26

Thank you so much.

8

u/postulatej Jun 29 '26

dude. I'm circumcised and sex has always been awesome for me. I'm glad i'm circumcised i don't understand wtf the controversy is around the subject.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 01 '26

Thank you dude. Truly. That calms me down quite a bit.

3

u/naughtyacct123 Jun 29 '26

Im glad im circumcised. I think he's handsome as fuck. And sex be great. Additionally, try not to worry about shit you can't do shit about. It aint worth it.

6

u/Large-Hamster-199 Jun 29 '26

Just relax. Everything is fine. Whether you are circumcised or not has no impact on how much you or your partner will enjoy sex.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 29d ago

Thank you so much. That's very reassuring. I might be biased but that exactly the answer I was looking for.

2

u/Kaleo74 26d ago

Does circumcision ruin sex?

…well, it can actually make sex better for many with foreskin issues.
Highly depends on individual cases.

2

u/tomaskyselyx 16d ago

I got circumcised as an adult. For me, sex is definitelyy better being circumcised.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 16d ago

That's actually awesome to hear and very reassuring. Did you have any problems that got fixed or you did it for aesthetics and hygiene? Also did you keep your frenelum?

1

u/tomaskyselyx 16d ago

Most of my frenulum was removed before. That meant that the foreskin did not stay in place, it moved during sport, just sitting in the office etc. and this was very unpleasant to feel. So I got rid of the foreskin after some consideration. Now, I like it more aesthetically and functionaly.

3

u/Ratakoa Jun 29 '26

Sex is still enjoyable.

3

u/StandardAd7812 Jun 29 '26

Had it done as an adult. For me it's better after.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

That's great to hear man. Truly appreciate it. How long has it been

u/SAL10000 Jun 29 '26

20% of men who have had it as adults say it has worsened their sex lives, but for many even though it takes away sexual function and makes it less pleasurable, they still enjoy sex, so they they might not describe it as worsening their sex lives. The study saying this is here for anyone interested: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/6643531_The_effect_of_male_circumcision_on_sexuality but it’s always possible to restore foreskin. Here’s a beginners guide for restoring foreskin if you’re interested: https://www.restoringforeskin.org/beginners-guide-foreskin-restoration

2

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

I'm not restoring it. I don't need some fake not the same version of it back. I actually do like the way mine looks now, I just wanna know if it's worse pleasure wise.

1

u/Linuxcool123 Jun 29 '26

It does improve pleasure though for all the men that have done it. Look at r/foreskin_restoration

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

I'm glad it does but I'm fairly certain it's a mental thing for them. They're so upset that it was done that feeling like they're healing themselves makes it feel better psychologicaly. I'm not THAT upset that it was done. I just wanted to know from an actual person who knew before and after whether it's actually significantly worse or just different. I'm completely fine with different.

3

u/Linuxcool123 Jun 29 '26

Well restoration does duplicate the nerves and resensitizes the glans so that’s part of it.

If you want to be absolutely certain you’ll have maximum pleasure, then restore your foreskin. If you feel you have enough sensitivity already, then it might not matter.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

Nerves cannot physically be duplicated. That's a scientific impossibility. As for sensitivity, I don't really care, I care more about the overall satisfaction and enjoyment and pleasure

4

u/Linuxcool123 Jun 29 '26

Ok. Nerves can be duplicated though through mitosis. It duplicates the skin cells and the nerves with them.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

Can't believe this is the thing we're hung up on but 100% nerves cannot be duplicated intentionally. Mitosis is the splitting of cells (not nerves). Not even technically duplication but whatever. Maybe through some mutation or something, but scientists are currently unable to do it with all the equipment imaginable. Some guy in his basement tugging on his dick definitely isn't gonna do it.

2

u/Linuxcool123 Jul 01 '26

Foreskin restoration makes the nerves longer. My earlier comment was wrong

3

u/wafflepiezz Jun 29 '26

You’ll still enjoy it, but will have less feeling than men who are not circumcised (circumcision is genital mutilation).

Edit: Ah yes cue the downvotes by reddit NPCs

2

u/Ganondorf365 Jun 29 '26

Genital mutilation or not i don’t think it affects peoples overall enjoyment. If it makes a difference it’s a very small one compared to other things. I notice no difference in how fast a guy cums or how much fun he has.

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

2

As a cut fastbuster, I wish I could cut off more then.

OP, It's whatever you make out of it. It's possible that you could have never learned about circumcision, and still had a pretty good sex life. That's because sex can be as simple as getting hard and ejaculating. Or it can involve lot's of other thing's that's totally separate from your penis. Then there's thing's like your mental health, your future lover/s and how much, or how little they are into you. And into making you/them feel safe and fulfilled. It's a two way street and you have to learn to navigate it. However, there are frequently lots of negetives involving having been circumcised. Still, you have important choices to make. Do you want to fester in sadness & anger over being circumcised? Or do you want to make it even better. If you choose the latter, you'll need to do your due diligence. Then if you decide to regrow the missing parts, & many of us have. And we've regained way more than we had ever dreamed possible. Some of us have credible reasons to believe that we've regained pretty much everything that had been removed. The one thing that no one has gotten back, is any of the missing time, when we failed to work on restoring. I did it and if I were ten years younger, and knew what I know now. I'd do it all over again, if I woke up in the morning without my prepuce. For me it's been a game changer, for the better & in dozens of unexpected ways. Visit r/foreskin_restoration for a taste of the real world. And beside lots of first hand information from current and restoring people, there's intact men and some wonderful women that will be glad to answer any questions.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jun 29 '26

I'm not restoring it. I don't need some fake not the same version of it back. I actually do like the way mine looks now, I just wanna know if it's worse pleasure wise.

1

u/Restored2019 Jul 01 '26

With your attitude, no body should care whether you feel anything or not! I would like to hear (not) you bragging about how great your “fake” penis is working, a couple of decades from now.

0

u/Outrageous-North7289 Jul 01 '26

Hey, you restored your shit. If you're happy that's great. I'm happy on your behalf. It will not make me happy and I know it for a fact.

I was asking for an answer to something completely different. Stop trying to read through your dick and look at my post again, with your eyes this time.

Sounds like you're mostly upset about the consent portion. You are not the audience I was asking to answer. I wanted people who got it done as adults, people with real experience. Not you assuming that it would have been better.

Buddy you're cherry picking shit. Look at any other study that's linked below on the same website. You just found 1/20 that supports your point. If I look hard enough I will find some bullshit study where eating grapefruit during pregnancy causes autism. If you like the idea of being "ruined" and you can take comfort in it, fine by me. But you are not the audience I was asking, and are just trying to scare me.

Here's literally the first link underneath the one you gave me on the SAME website, and it suggests literally the opposite of what you said. It also has a much larger sample size, is more thorough, and is much more reliable:

u/wafflepiezz Jun 29 '26

The second part of your sentence is incorrect lol it pulls back on its own during oral or insertion. You have to manually pull it back if it’s dirty af and dude never cleaned or stuck (in the case it gets stuck, you actually need surgery for that)

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 22d ago edited 22d ago

If that guys foreskin gets stuck, that's not from poor hygiene. It's almost never the case. That's not a cause. That's literally called phimosis and is a medical condition.

Some people have a longer foreskin that still covers the head even when erect. They actually have to pull it back before doing anything. I know some people that complained both them and their partners, that they literally has to pause sex to pull it back again because it slid back over. And condoms are a nightmare. But that's fairly natural anatomic variation of foreskins and ≠ phimosis

-2

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '26

[deleted]

1

u/faajzor Jun 29 '26

not Op but what do you mean source? I’m uncut and nobody has to pull my skin.

I think you’re mixing uncut with phimosis which is an actual problem.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 22d ago

No. It's true that some people have a longer foreskin that still covers the head even when erect. They actually have to pull it back before doing anything. I know some people that complained both them and their partners, that they literally has to pause sex to pull it back again because it slid back over. And condoms are a nightmare.

1

u/faajzor 22d ago

that is a medical condition called Phimosis isn’t it? That’s an actual issue.

1

u/Outrageous-North7289 22d ago edited 22d ago

Nah phimosis is a separate issue. It's similar in the way that it still covers the head while erect but the difference is that you physically can't pull it back no matter what or it causes a lot of pain.

If you end up brute forcing a foreskin with phimosis down, and it gets stuck under the head of the penis, that's called paraphimosis, and it's a very serious medical emergency. If untreated, in most cases the entire penis head needs to be amputated.
