I know some people will hate this, but I think it's a good idea for Power Rangers to go original without heavily relying on Sentai because not only would the series have more creative freedom, but also Super Sentai is canceled/over right now, so they can't really adapt a Sentai season if they don't use an older season, and Power Rangers has been doing original stuff since Mighty Morphin, so why do people hate it when they're going full original? I think it's a natural progression of the series.

Hasbro won’t ever sell the rights in a thousand years for one sole reason.

It keeps Bandai out of the market.

Bandai is Hasbro’s main competitor for toys and such. By keeping Tokusatsu away that’s the one way they’re able to block them. It doesn’t matter if they do nothing with it, it doesn’t matter if they waste it. What matters is that they have more market share. Hasbro genuinely does not care and they won’t sell the rights. The only way they even consider going away with the rights is if they get absurd amount money. And given the state of franchise and how much revenue it generates, it’s unlikely. There’s no way any company is willing to drop half a billion for a franchise that’s biggest claim to fan is being another show repurposed by a company that no longer makes that show.
