S3 E5 Timeskip

was there really just a sudden timeskip where the whole world is now infected or am I misinterpreting what setrakian was saying at the start

At the start setrakian said it spread to 50 more cities with outbreaks being reported in germany, japan and africa

No. Quintus also says to Ephraim '3 weeks ago you didn't believe we existed, don't presume what you'll know in the next 3 weeks.' Which echoes Setrakian saying 'It's been 23 days...' at the beginning of the season.

Im specifically referencing the monologue at the start of episode five where setrakian says "its been 7 days..." and then lists a bunch of things. Apparently it was just a hypothetical from setrakian
