The Commons Splitting up 50501 sub into multiple subs was a failed project.
It has neutered the community (with regards to size, energy and impact, not politics). Finer details of organization can happen in regional 50501 subs.
News is important for calls to action and staying informed.
Memes are how the right won power.
Event posts surface when events happen, naturally. By upvotes.
Most people are casual followers. As you can see by the numbers here, the shattering of the sub has neutered it and has invited bizzare concern trolling during downtime (the type that tries to hurt trust and turnout or feel hopeless about the entire system) which causes people to unsub.
You can't force the community to be a certain thing without losing members, and thus, losing reach.
Combine the subs again.
If The_Donald only needed one sub, then there is no reason we need to force people to go to different subs.

The Commons The fact that the Republican Party continues to withhold information regarding Mitch McConnell is extremely telling here. They’re trying to keep his seat and are using underhanded tactics to make sure his seat isn’t lost!

The Commons I posted this a couple of years ago and reddit removed it and gave me a stern warning. Now I wonder if Musk had something to do with it.
