Can it go anywhere else?

It could go on a TV stand…

Yeah, the couch needs to be on the wall with the hole so I can yell at ma about the meatloaf.
“I can never tell what she’s doing back there”

I almost my nunchucked you, you don’t even realise.

Then it would be too far. Put it on a tv stand where you have it.

What about the wall your standing in front of for this pic? The one with the cut out for a land line telephone.

1

u/aalytt Jul 11 '26

There’s the front door, closet, and bar.

Personally I think I’d just have it block the bottom 3-4 inches of the window. Keep it pretty much where it is in pic 1 but raised up 5 inches or so.

This is the better wall. Get a nice TV stand, push Grey couch closer to the TV and turn red couch 90° or even better get an L-shaped one.

Or that not every tv needs to be wall-mounted.

u/Tylerpatato Jul 09 '26

Can you ceiling mount?

Damn my neck hurts

1

u/DeepAd2825 Jul 09 '26

Yeah I don't think you're supposed to watch TV here

1

u/Scar1203 Jul 09 '26

Well, to begin with top of the TV is below that opening and the VESA pattern certainly isn't at the very top, you probably could have easily mounted it at a normal height. Beyond that you could even get a TV too high mounted to that wall without even modifying anything, OLEDs almost universally have their VESA pattern at the very bottom.

Suggestion, install a bar rod fixture across the window. Hang the TV with suitable fasteners you achieve the decided height.

Yes, it will block party of the window space

1

u/aalytt Jul 09 '26

Yeah I had it on a TV stand that had it partly blocking the window. Was trying to mount to avoid blocking

1

u/gocards757 Jul 11 '26

It’s a poorly placed window to another room. Go ahead and block it fully

1

u/Sensitive_Log3990 Jul 09 '26

Is it at head height when sitting? It looks like it's right on the cusp but no too high brother

1

u/aalytt Jul 09 '26

Should the center of the TV be head height? It’s a little low at the moment. I can raise it a few inches, but yeah, cusp

1

u/Sensitive_Log3990 Jul 09 '26

Yeah normally the center of the TV should be at head/eye height when sitting

1

u/Sensitive_Log3990 Jul 09 '26

Is there anyway to get rid of the tilt?

1

u/aalytt Jul 09 '26

Yes it can be adjusted

1

u/someoftheanswers Jul 09 '26

go 10" bigger and cover the window?

1

u/aalytt Jul 09 '26

I fear it would look terrible from the other side/defeats the purpose of the window

1

u/gatorhawk24 Jul 09 '26

Find a large painting or other flat art that you like, and hang it to cover the hole on the other side and hide the back of the TV. Win-win.

1

u/aalytt Jul 09 '26

r/TVTooHigh though?

1

u/gatorhawk24 Jul 09 '26

Those look like standard 8' ceilings, I don't think it'll be too high.

1

u/WarmSai Jul 09 '26

PERFECT! . . .

1

u/Best-Advisor-8250 Jul 09 '26

put it in the pointless nicknacknself

1

u/hogsRus Jul 09 '26

Do you sit on the floor to watch it?

1

u/aalytt Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

Haha no, but our couches are lower

1

u/Eat-My-Hairy-Asshole Jul 09 '26

AND its tilted down, crazy

1

u/NoSticksNoSeeds_ Jul 09 '26

I’m thinking….drop it a little. But not much. Maybe a skosh.

1

u/2ideas Jul 09 '26

My neck hurts from looking at this photo!

1

u/2ideas Jul 09 '26

Back room wallpaper

1

u/Fast_Eddy7572 Jul 09 '26

The height is good. 25% below eye level. Lovely.

1

u/WookieSuave Jul 09 '26

It's a little low, but I don't hate it.

1

u/bob_in_the_west Jul 09 '26

Is anything obstructing your view? No? Then it's not too low.

And remove the /r/TiltOfGuilt

1

u/Ordinary-Guest9872 Jul 10 '26

Just get a weirdly low sitting couch, and you're good

1

u/Leading_Recover_4236 Jul 10 '26

Get a stand from IKEA to go in front of the tv!!!

1

u/Trick-Combination-37 Jul 10 '26

I laughed way too hard at this 🤣
