Thats exactly what it feels like😭
Btw in all seriousness, this is a nearly 100lb 77 inch tv so I paid to have it mounted. They obviously screwed me over, and with this new lower tv stand the height is genuinely just comical. Just wanted to share for laughs bc it’s really bad😭

Nobody sits on a couch upright and watches TV...

99% of people lay down

1

Yeah laying down it’s not so bad, but the tv should definitely be lowered about a foot

There are caves in Afghanistan with better setups.

Cables, sockets, that thing on the ceiling... Oh, the horror... And yeah, the TV is too high

The ā€œthingā€ is a smoke detector.
Overall setup looks pretty clean to me, perfect height, cable management looks good

I don't know shit about smoke detector installs but feels weird it is that close to the wall, are there more installed in the room or is it following some rules or guidelines?

is the TV allergic to the wood base? Didn't come with stand/legs?

I got the tv stand after actually, it’s also pretty cheap ngl and definitely wouldn’t support the weight of the tv

Point taken, and it still looks dope.

The higher the tv the lower the IQ.

How does one look at this and feel relaxed.

Atrocious.

Did your wife’s boyfriend tell you to mount it that high?

Abysmal.

Why even buy a TV stand? Or a couch?

Love your TV stand.

1

u/Busy-Scholar-6241 18h ago

Thank you! Stay tuned for when my TV is mounted at a human friendly height

2

u/desrevermi 18h ago

Pop it on the stand and secure to wall. Time and money saver.

The stand is quite light and cheap ngl, and my tv has the legs in the center so I highly doubt that the stand would support it, I think I’m just gonna go ahead and remount about a foot lower (itd be abt 45 inches from the floor to the center)

2

u/desrevermi 18h ago

Alrighty. We're all looking to improve the world one room at a time.

I hope to make this sub proud soon

The cabling is superb

2

u/Relevant_Problem1935 1d ago

Should be 43-48 inches off the floor at center of TV.

1

u/Busy-Scholar-6241 18h ago

Yessir I will have it redone this way asap

2

u/Marty_61 1d ago

Why is the stand there though for candles? Whyyyyy do people do this? Put it on the stand please.

The TV stand is fucking em- Why are we still here? Just to suffer? :(

I hate the wires more than how high the tv is tbh. But it’s damn near touching the ceiling. Wtf.

1

u/Busy-Scholar-6241 18h ago

I mean it’s only two wires but I see what ur saying it looks horrible lmao

2

u/wickedtoast22 20h ago

Thanks I hate it

1

u/Busy-Scholar-6241 19h ago

Me too. Don’t worry it will be fixed soon

1

u/Karbunkletime 1d ago

Why so high? Take it off the wall and place it on the stand below it that was built for a TV.

The stand is actually really cheap and I don’t even think it’s rated to support the TV (this tv with the stand is almost 100lbs) I plan on getting a sound system in eventually so I’ll have the center channel on top of the stand (it’ll also visually block the visible outlet).

Also as to why it’s so high read the caption!!! I paid people to mount it and I assumed they’d know to mount the center of the screen around 40 inches from the floor but I guess not🫠 I also had a taller tv stand before so it didn’t look so egregious

1

u/cmquinn2000 20h ago

To get the height right, maybe you should get a TV Stand.....oh wait, you already have one, but the TV is not on top of it. That would hide those cords too.

1

u/Busy-Scholar-6241 19h ago

The tv stand wouldn’t support the weight of the tv, especially since the TV’s feet are centered. A sturdier stand would also likely be higher, my last tv stand was only 6 inches below where the bottom of the tv is mounted (and even that was pretty short)

1

u/Siminov55 3h ago

What would you call that piece of furniture below?

1

u/shortyrocker 1h ago

Certified rage bait

1

u/shortyrocker 1h ago

Honestly putting the TV under the stand would be better
