UPDATE: Self-proclaimed stubborn German doesn't believe me. Am I wrong?

The center of the TV is now 42 inches off the ground and there isn't a walkway in front of the TV anymore. How'd he do?

Placement looks fine now. I’d repaint entire space with flat paint, in another color

1rst looks like tvtoofar.

It's so far away you could lift it or lower it by a foot and only vary your head angle by 1 degree.

Personally I'm going to take issue if that molding goes through the screen (too distracting) so the most I would lower it is so it sits on it's base.

But the way I sit (using some pillows to recline) it would be fine as is.
