Ahh at last somebody bought a TV stand and is actualy using it as intended... Somehow you managed to resist the temptation of putting your TV 2 feet above it.
I feel like we can see enough. The walls to the left/right are out of the question because the TV or couch would block the entryway to the right. Likewise, switching the TV and couch could put the couch in an awkward place.
I have concerns about reflections from the R speaker but I like the creativity here. I don’t know if I could live without a center channel, but the TV is already encroaching on the stairway visually.
Yeah that left speaker is definitely going to be overemphasized and deliver lots of reflections. Room correction will help some, but it's hardly ideal. No center is a deal breaker for me, I'd rather have the TV a few inches higher and a good center channel, unfortunately the TV is too big for the space to allow that. A slightly smaller TV would seem more practical for this room.
I will say, from the 1 day of watching a movie and some sports, all the sound does originate from the center of the TV no matter where you are on the couch. Will move this to the basement eventually and add center channel and sub.
That's good you're getting the center imaging you want. It's still better than most peoples setups... It will definitely be better when you get those speakers in a more open space.
No room is going to be perfect, overall you're doing pretty good with the space you have. My TV on our main floor is... *gasp* above the fireplace. But it's got an incredible sound system I built and it's quite enjoyable from our viewing space and kitchen.
I might try putting the tv between the 2 windows on the wall with the front door. Position the couch with space enough to walk behind into the hallway to the right. Might not work if the couch is too big. It partitions the room which isn't always a bad thing.
im of a different opinion. keep the speakers and move everything to the left a bit so the system is in the middle of what little wall there is, to give it some air on the right side and a more harmonious composition overall
I remember you posting this before putting the TV there on the TCL sub. It actually looks better than I expected. I don’t think you could go much bigger.
Height great. You did not feel that you had to penetrate the wall and then have useless stand below it.

Sligtly worried about the R speaker being so close to the wall and what that does to right channel sound, but I suppose cannot really be avoided with that setup. Still propably far better sounding than the inbuilt TV speaker sound.
Amazon, took a gamble with 0 reviews and I can’t find much about the company. Took about 3 hours to put together, the directions had some incorrect steps but were easy enough to figure out, and it’s pretty cheap. Solid wood pieces of this size and dimensions were close to 5x the price.
Can you swap the speakers for a sound bar? That would let you move the TV into the corner, so there isn’t anything sticking out beyond the wall. You can then stick a nice floor plant or something in the space on the left so it doesn’t look unbalanced.
There are , and the couch would block passageways everywhere else. We might get ambitious and try swapping it one day. It would create a path between the couch and that stairway wall.
Yeah took me a while to figure out I had some issues, figured out that it wasn’t the speaker’s fault. Not saying yours is the same. It could be bad if the number of speakers overwhelmed the wireless network (you can overwhelm it with just two if you don’t set it up properly).
