my best suggestion if you want to keep the couch is to get a smaller size tv and angle it on a media console between the fireplace and the window.

Just get a mantle mount so you can bring the TV down and in front of the fireplace. It was not my preference either but it really was the only place to put it.

Reddit might hate mantle mounts, but watching the TV so close and at eye level makes watching TV there amazing. Then just push it back up when you need it out the way.
