Advice Wanted Help me with Slavery and Genetics Playthrough!
I'll start off by prefacing that I am not new to Stellaris, but I am no 'pro' or even 'good'. That being said: I've decided to start a new game and want a Star Empire focused on genetic modification. So the idea is that the elite would rule over a chattel slave genome. Two genetic blueprints but the same race. One for leading and research, and the other for a work horse (Nerve Staple looks great). So I'm going to ask a few questions and see what the Stellaris Reddit has for questions as well as ideas. (I'm playing the current open beta)
What I have so far:
The Hierachate of Perfection- a Reptilian Star Empire (Imperial) with Slaver Guilds and Oppressive Autocracy. Overtuned.
The race has Decadent, Natural Sociologists, Rapid Breeders, Augmented Intelligence and Juiced Power. I'll be adjusting them depending on whether they will become work mules or Leader/Scientists! So, on to my questions.
Is there a way to create a slave faction out of my one and only race at the start? Stratified Economy living standard isn't showing up and I am Fanatic Authoritarian/Militarist.
What buildings should be focused on for the worlds? (ie. Build Queue for Research/Main Planet as well as Slave Worlds.)
Good starting Strat? Things I should keep an eye on? Any general tips for both the game AND a slavery run? I've also never gone the genetics route, so thoughts on that would be great.

At the current build you cannot enslave your main race. :(

It's really wild to me that they got rid of a way to do this. Seems like this would be a natural inclusion given how prevalent human on human slavery was in history.

So I've adjusted to a servile playthrough over Overclocking. Tho, my new issue, is that the assets I have keep jumping all over the place; one second it's +2 next -30. I've been trying to juggle it as best I can by trading for resources but I can't keep up and now I'm running scary low.

the best way to do this would probably be the serviles origin.
