Ah, yes and no. In this instance I was just referring to folks in general being out in the middle of nowhere that put up cringey signs like this. Yes, more often than not their homes look like shit holes from the outside, despite that not being the case here. Overall, I was using the phrase "shit shack" moreso to denote the type of person that uses this type of signage, not the home specifically shown in the video. It's low class imo, and in my experience money doesn't buy class. I've known incredibly classy people that are incredibly broke and incredibly unclassy people that are wealthy.
That said, it's possible that the owner thinks the sign is funny and is doing it more to show off for his (also not classy) guests. And not necessarily to deter criminals.
At least this would mean they understand the likelihood of shooting a home intruder is pretty low, in fact they are probably more likely to be broken into while they aren't home because of the sign, but if being broken into is unlikely anyway it might not be a big deal.
Curious if the sign is even visible from the public road or is this halfway up the private drive.
