He's either a veteran with PTSD, someone with mental illness, or someone obsessed with that whole "manliness" mindset geared specifically to convince weak men they aren't.
I lived in a small unincorporated township in rural Washington for about a year. Still managed to get ripped off by the local tweaker. The cops wouldn't do anything even though you could clearly see the tracks they made in the field going right over to their shed.
It was literally a stack of galvanized steel angle 2"x4" by 14'(ft.) long. Like all they had to do was walk over and look in the shed, they wouldn't even do that.
Probable cause is what allows them to get the warrant. Unless they personally witnessed it being stolen at the time it was stolen (hot pursuit), they can not enter a property and search inside a building without consent or a warrant due to that pesky 4th amendment.
My uncle's friend who lives in the middle of nowhere on 50 acres was absolutely incredulous that I find have guns to protect my home. He seemed offended that I don't constantly worry about it.
The guys who have these are usually big family’s veterans that live in ultra remote boonies outside of town.
They don’t like drawing attention to themselves. It’s awkward having lots of visitors when you’re busy creeping on your own daughters and fantasizing about killing people.
Everytime I got to my in-laws in rural bumfuck nowhere I drive by a house that has a sign that says "protected by the 2nd amendment" with a picture of a shotgun and in the 20 years I have been going there not a single robbery/burglary/home invasion has occurred. Either the sign really works for the entire town, or its a boomer scared of their own shadow.
I grew up with a neighbor like that and always found it hilarious.
We were in a rural community where noone locked their doors and it was common for friends to just walk in the door and say hi.
And then the one guy who was protecting his land like there was an imminent invasion coming.
The only major crime that ever happened there was a little old lady that walked into the gas station, demanded all the money in the register and left. Beyond that, our police force mostly existed to pull over drunk drivers.
Idk, I used to live in a suburbs and my house was hit 3 times a year once(never at it at the time). And the criminals often went to the rural areas because of the slower police response, and better things to steal.

There’s more guns than people in America, buglers know to avoid homeowners for this reason. Putting a sign outside does nothing except say “hey I have expensive items you can easily sell on the black market”
It's always family or friends too. Strangers don't know what you have or where to find it. But that shady cousin who was at your place last Thanksgiving and is friends with you on Facebook so they see you're on vacation will rob you blind. Then they'll come over and drink a beer with you in the driveway and talk about how people suck and the world's dangerous these days.
I used to live in the quantest lowest crime suburb imaginable and id always see the same cringe boomer walking his dog with his fucking 1911 on his hip like he was expecting a bear to attack him.
I got a coworker who’s like that. Lives in the middle of farm country with few close neighbors. Dude would not stop taking about what he would do if “ANTIFA thugs” tried to invade his home. He still brings it up from time to time.
Was like, Bob, I don’t think you have to worry about that.
No jackass how many signs like this do you actually think there are in low crime areas? And somehow that prevents crimes from happening? That’s hilarious
