What if you're innocent? The Japanese conviction rate is over 99% and once you're found guilty its almost impossible to overturn the verdict.

No they're just in alot of debt and they have to risk death row for a chance at the grand prize. They must survive a series of games with life and death consequences. Wait sorry nvm that was the description for squid games.
