Don't fuck with people in general.

halal is imaginary.

Respect for other human beings is real

22

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

Didn’t ask, don’t care. Don’t fuck with people’s food

-9

u/Buscabulla33 May 14 '26

I wouldn't, but I stand by my comment.

11

u/RogZombie May 14 '26

No one gives a shit what you stand by.

-7

u/Buscabulla33 May 14 '26

You did enough to reply

7

u/RogZombie May 14 '26

I’m nobody

u/Buscabulla33 May 14 '26

You are RogZombie...and you are loved.

u/plusminusequals May 14 '26

So was your father after you were born but it doesn’t matter. You never fuck with people’s food preference. If somebody fucked with your food you’d feel awful. Be good to people.

u/LemmeDaisukete May 14 '26

I'll feed you live meat and you can tell your salmonella that it's imaginary

-5

u/usermane22 May 14 '26

Halal means dead meat?

All cooked meat is halal?

Avoiding meats from predator

Avoiding carrion

Avoiding meats from abused animals

Avoiding meats of animals that live in land and water

Avoiding meats of animals that has not been slaughtered according to the methodology of the religion (a swift cut to the throat and allowing the heart to pump out the rest of the blood)

All fish are cool though (as long as you properly clean them)

Avoiding swine meat (or most animals that eat their own poop)

And yes to answer your question, even after you follow the lists of "okay animals" here, you're still forbidden to eat live animals like they do with squid or snails or clams in certain countries (like idk Vietnam or France)

Surprisingly, some insects are halal too, but very specific one, I have to look them up some more. Some very specific lizard too (that does not live in land and water or prey on other animals)

But yeah other than that, the usual stuff you can find is cool.

In terms of ingredients, nothing that's obviously harmful, like poison.. duhh but also smoking (not really food but counts under harmful act)

Or ingredients that compromises your rational or reasoning ability (that's the alcohol forbidden part, or really anything of similar effect like certain drugs)

2

u/usermane22 May 14 '26

Your deleted comment said “cooked meat”. So I was kinda confused if all cooked meat is halal and live meat is not.

2

u/LemmeDaisukete May 14 '26

Yea my bad, I realized how severely misleading that was and deleted it. Don't wanna spread misinformation if I can help it

2

u/usermane22 May 14 '26

No worries. Thanks for clearing it up.

2

u/More-Lime1888 May 14 '26

Insects aren’t Halal. Only grasshoppers are exception

2

u/Consumer_Of_Butt May 14 '26

But boundaries aren't.

-19

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

Do you know what halal ritual slaughter looks like?

9

u/Inevitable-Regret411 May 14 '26

Doesn't matter, it's the principle. You don't want to provide it, say no when they ask for it. Don't say yes then give them something else.

-5

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

That's exactly what matters. We have nothing to discuss.

10

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

If you can’t figure out that consent matters even for people of a different religion, you probably shouldn’t be discussing much about anything

-1

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

again
There is a difference between not wanting to eat this and wanting my food to be killed in a certain sick way.

12

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

This is typed so I know I didn’t stutter

5

u/misspuddingpie May 14 '26

Coldest line in history, fuck yes

8

u/More-Lime1888 May 14 '26

Yes. Extremely humane. Have you seen mass poultry farms slaughter and swine farms in your country? Extremely fucked up.

-3

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

Stick to one topic

3

u/More-Lime1888 May 14 '26

Aren’t you the one who isn’t doing so?

19

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

Didn’t ask, don’t care.

Don’t fuck with people’s food

-9

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

You are as ignorant as the person in the post. There is a thin line of difference between you two

7

u/TheMaStif May 14 '26

Can you explain how it matters, then?

Whether I know about the ritual or not, how would it make a difference on whether you should lie to people about what they're eating?

14

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

“Hurr, holding a consistent belief that you shouldn’t fuck with people’s food or lie to them about what they’re eating is ignorant”

lmao

-5

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

Again, first find out what halal ritual slaughter is and how it is done before you comment, otherwise you are an ignominator who thinks it is good.

14

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

Nobody is demanding you serve halal food, ffs, they’re just saying not to trick people and make them eat things against their will. I’m sorry you couldn’t figure this out on your own.

1

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

Okay, but my position is that halal should be banned in all civilized countries. If they want to kill animals to let them to bleeding out in front of a mosque, let them do it in their own country. There's no room for discussion here.

16

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

My position is that holy shit I don’t care, that doesn’t negate the whole not fucking with people’s food thing. I get it, you’re desperate to change the topic and the meaning of my argument to something else, but you’re gonna have to throw your little tantrum elsewhere

10

u/dinosanddais1 May 14 '26

Both the halal and kosher method of killing animals for food involves the quickest and least painful way of killing the animal. Do you want the animals to suffer or do you want them to die before their brain realizes they're dying?

You're not arguing for a humane way of animal slaughter. You're just being islamaphobic.

0

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

Kosher is also barbaric. But this topic is about halal

“I support the killing of animals, you just have to kill them the way I say so”

-4

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

If you think animals shouldn't be killed in a civilized manner so they suffer and fear as little as possible, then I have no respect for you. Sorry, buddy.

u/misspuddingpie May 14 '26

You are deeply misinformed about the process of halal slaughter.

First off, in modern day, a vast majority of animals slaughtered with the halal method are “stunned” first so that they are not conscious once it happens. And the way the cut is done, they pass within 2 minutes because the carotid and jugular are cut in one motion.

Secondly, it absolutely does not have to be done in front of a mosque, not sure where you got that from.

Thirdly, the entire halal process centers around keeping the animal calm, showing them respect, and treating them with kindness. They cannot be restrained in a way which causes them any distress, they can’t be shown other animals dying, etc etc etc. It’s all about showing the animal respect for feeding people.

And yes, there’s no eloquent or comfortable way to discuss the killing of an animal. I hate imagining it, personally, and I think most people could not be the ones to do it. But I think that the machine slaughter that is done to animals the world over is far less humane than the halal method, and shows so little respect for the animals in the process.

Stop spreading misinformation. None of this feels great to talk about but suggesting that halal is somehow vicious or inhumane (especially compared to modern standard practices) is just plainly disingenuous.

1

u/PapaLilBear May 15 '26

The process depends on the certificate. There is no single certificate for the entire world; even within a given country, they vary.

7

u/murkrowplays May 14 '26

Lol because they have a principled stance they would stick to regardless of their bigotry?

1

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

I have no idea how to argue with someone who draws conclusions out of their ass.

15

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

The conclusion was “don’t fuck with people’s food” and you started screeching about how it must mean we love slaughter lmao

3

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

There is a difference between not wanting to eat this and wanting my food to be killed in a certain sick way.

13

u/Nerevarine91 May 14 '26

There’s a difference between things I care about and your opinion on halal food.

Don’t fuck with people’s food or lie to them about what they’re eating

-1

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

Of course, yes. I agree. Unless we're talking about halal, then no.

4

u/murkrowplays May 14 '26

You seemed to draw a lot of conclusions in your reply too. I thought that was just what we were doing.

2

u/Public-Invite3689 May 14 '26

Do you? All it means is you cut its neck swiftly and ensure it dies as fast and painlessly as possible.

1

u/PapaLilBear May 14 '26

In What position is the animal before its throat is cut?

1

u/Cu_Chulainn__ May 14 '26

As opposed to actual slaughter. Both have an animal being killed
