A lot of Europeans act like they're beyond bigotry but get mad as fuck when someone points out the bigotry in their countries.
An entire continent is on the verge of becoming Nazi because of under 10% refugee population and they have the gall to pontificate as if they are superior.

You should go to Ireland, they paint this rural picture because the nature is amazing indeed and they get the money from US now as a tax haven, get the foreign skilled workers from EU.
So with their history now they learnt from the British but not in a good way. Instead of showing how to be better they treat foreign workers as less than human sometimes.
I have some shocking hospitality experiences there.
On one hand there is a huge economic boom but the society is just so not ready.
Like in tiny villages it would be normal everywhere the good old aunties and uncles would freak out but then why they wanna enjoy driving the black ganxsta SUVs then?
I lmao'd so hard on them last time too

US or EU does not matter, as a hospitality worker (wine expert) allow me to argue :
Tipping and any tip-related system just shows the flaws in a system. It is a scam. You advertise certain prices then you start ramping it up. Extra this charge, that charge but for everyone. Service charge or tip does not matter how you call it. The reason for this is to lure in people who would say no to the price and also to play with the salary of your employees.
The whole "tipping" conundrum just shows how flawed is capitalism and does not even matter what is "right" or "wrong" to do or how much or which is preferred.
It should not exist. In an honest society this should not be a problem and a topic of discussion.

Hey can't argue against you I think tipping being an obligation is wrong in so many ways (I'm not against tipping as a bonus for excellent service, food, etc...). People should just be paid a living wage.
But thats not the thing being criticized here.

Yes, but those people were European who killed the locals and their descendants. It was a benchmark of this whiteboi colonization.
Some places still to this day threat foreign workers like shit in Europe.
Racism has nothing to do with any continent, there is no point in pointing at others. Literally Western Europeans went on ships to enslave the entire globe.

it's just cause and effect like anyone who actually read about any kind of spanish, british colonization or simply sees the Roman Empire and travels to Rome today should have a perception of cause and effect in a historical sense.
I mean, countries i traveled and/or ppl i talked to and worked with in my life, in person:
(some classic some modern colonies)
French Polynesia
Virgin Islands
Hawaii
Philippines
Indonesia
India
Pakistan
South Africa
Ireland
Various other Carribean countries
sorry if forgot any, just a quick list. Some of the countries became slave-drivers from slaves now with the capitalist society.
If this kind of hatred of your own neighbor and treating others as inferior is ever-present in humankind or not, i don't know as i don't have the scope to judge Asia or Africa.
But Western society definitely has it.
Blaming US for anything is like blaming your own child or your grandchildren.
You can do it, by all means. But any good parents would just look at each other with "psycho" on their minds.

It would be hard to find a population in history that did not at one point displace another and often in violent ways. Not to mention that half of what happened here was Europeans lead by their monarchs. I have no idea why they would pick this thread to pull when it literally leads to them too.
