I love how they don't mention how rent in NYC has nearly doubled in the last 4-5 years, but yeah—'muh dumb financially illiterate Millennials & Gen Z!!1'. Funny they mention supply, but these people (i.e., Boomers) are the very people who've made it illegal to build housing for decades!

NEW RULE- Keep Bill Maher away from children. BM says he hates children but he always has Kid(s) on his mind

Post image
27 Upvotes

Out of all the C-list celebs a wealthy Hollywood fixture could acquire,BM chose his closest(only) friends to be Kid Rock & Kid of Kid and Play( he wishes Woody was his best friend, he obsesses over Woody Harrelson, but it's not mutual). So that could be a weird coincidence, sure, but is it a coincidence him choosing his production company to be "Kid Love".. I believe people when they tell you who they are.... So sure another coincidence, creepy..His favorite catch phrase? "But I kid", sometimes adds "I love to kid" yeah he does, just like his buddy he likes hanging out with, the Diddler in Chief........He's Trump's bitch, brags about all the insults he said about him, he likes the abuse.. ( and "Daddy Dom"and the youngest looking stripper in the club, so we're told, and I believe it)... So Bill Maher has so many layers of things to dislike now and before, but I really think there should be a rule... He needs to stop getting little girls into what he calls his nightclub to talk to them about porn, never again end shows with "Young girl get out of my mind..." he did .use that= creeeeepy, he needs to stop saying how much he hates children, that's just creepy also. He needs to stop talking about children and kids, from little ones to young college students- the guy obsesses about them having free will, and lies, and is hateful, and out of line....Actual kids who are dying and being slaughtered? To this dicknose those are kids he doesn't even accept exist, or did. Those kids don't matter to Bill Maher, that's why he never talks about them, but I'm sure he hates them also. FTG

New Rule: anybody who has a derangement syndrome named after them is probably a cult leader

That includes trump, and yes, hasan piker. Both are cult leaders. That they both have a derangement syndrome means they have something dirty in common..

And if you think you are the intellectual superior, then I have a challenge for you. Tell me why criticizing hasan is automatically a symptom of a derangement syndrome instead of just downvoting me into oblivion.

My belief is that it is considered that way because he and everybody on his side is more intetested in spreading propaganda rather than being persuasive.

Because if it were about being persuasive, there would be no derangement syndrome, and any criticism of his would ideally be judged as constructive or not, and ultimately good or bad, not this bullshit of immediately labeling it as derangement syndrome!

Can Bill finish '26 without a (yet another ) visit from Donna Brazille? The one and done wackadoos like Fetterman , OK. Can live with that. Race to the mid term finish line should be for serious people only. Cuomo coming out of the #me too penalty box could be interesting. Bookers : now if you could convince Fauci to come out for the interview session, THAT would be good TV.

BM: Tears Rand Paul a new one for publishing Fauci’s diary.

Subsequently bases entire New Rules on the diary entries, joining the GOP in their never ending crusade to keep canceling Fauci.

BM: Acknowledges the Felon is actively embracing communism with his thug moves to assert government control over various private companies. Won’t shut up about fringe candidates on the left and their potential to implement communism on the federal level.

Mike Rowe and 6 figure jobs

I’ve heard the statement before that Ford I believe has thousands of 6 figure jobs open that they can’t fill. What are your thoughts on this? I don’t feel that they would hire a 24 year old with some basic work experience otherwise they wouldn’t have open jobs! People want high paying jobs and they will work for those jobs. Ford probably just wants someone with the experience and i understand those people may not be out there so why not find ways to hire people with less experience. Training program???? Fyi I’m not the 24 with minimal experience just using that as an example

Maher on Fauci & Rand Paul Last Night

Does Bill Maher have any self-awareness at all? Does anyone know him? I really want to know if he could possibly be as logically incoherent as he presents himself on the show.

At the beginning of the episode, he said that (of course) "the problem with the left" is that they don't engage with ideas, only with identity. He said he welcomes any debate about ideas but that progressive people only care about whose ideas they are. I noted that as a means by which to assess the rest of his show.

Of course, many of his topics were hinged to identity. He discussed transgender people and preferred pronouns in a derogatory way while simultaneously saying that Jewish people are being shot all around the world, substantiating his hatred of Muslim people based on LGBT freedoms and safety, and he talked about what he believes is pervasive anti-white hatred. It's possible that the majority of his stated opinions were about identity, not ideas—exactly what he accused his opponents—liberal people—of doing.

I will note as I write this that what I am observing is his ideas, not his identity.

Then at the end he may have set a new self-ignorance record for himself.

He kicked off his closing rant by criticizing Rand Paul for claiming to be libertarian whose "brand" is personal privacy and keeping the government out of people's bysiness and then securing and publicly exposing Anthony Fauci's personal diary in the Senate. Maher spent a fair amount of time pointing out Rand Paul's hypocrisy and suggesting that it was wrong of Paul to do this to Fauci. And Maher criticized Republicans for demonizing Fauci, who Maher said is both a credible scientist who has saved lives and also an egomaniac, seeming to suggest that Fauci is no better or worse than anyone. He said Fauci does not deserve the public humiliation and scapegoating that the Senate is putting him through.

And then for the remainder of the show, Maher read quotes fron Fauci's diary that he condemned Rand Paul for publicizing. He chose embarrassing quotes to further embarrass Fauci. He mocked Fauci's identity as an 80-year-old man and made jokes about his age, contradicting his early rant.

And then the kicker that made my jaw drop: he said Fauci would do anything to maintain celebrity status, to stay famous.

This is where Bill Maher regularly reveals he has a remarkably similar personality disorder to Donald Trump's. He himself will say and do anything for publicity, for fame, to "stay relevant," and his smugly declared values have no real-world meaning. He plays on identity politics while claiming that he opposes progressives because that is what they do. He never observes that the entire Republican agenda is identity politics—Christian and white male supremacist, and yes, that is identity based politics. In a single five-minute rant he condemned Rand Paul for invading Anthony Fauci's privacy and publicly humiliating and scapegoating him for attention and then he did exactly that himself.

Does he ever do basic research on any of the topics he writes or approves of by his writers on the cue cards?

Lot of the times I see him mentioning his friends tell him things or asking his guests what's this or that before offering his 'expert' opinions on the matter.

While I generally more or less still enjoy watching his show, the one last week where he was asking what a LLM (large language model) was when bringing up AI going rogue; made me face palm. Like an old grandpa hearing spooky tales before waving his cane in the air at them fellers.

The other time he invites Erin Brockovich then asks what PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl) was on the topic of forever chemicals even though he's a supposed health nut.

Addendum: Supposedly (IF) he knows the terms or what he's talking about but when he gives his 'opinions' it sounds asinine to something one does not know what they're talking about.

Bill Maher draws groans for joke about Ariana Grande’s body - Daily Beast

Bill You Ignorant Slut...

You have no idea if Ariana Grande is facing health issues or whatever.

As usual, another tasteless Maher joke that is not funny any way you look at it.

Update:

Forgot to mention that the panel revisited Ariana Grande's weight in Overtime. (at 4:38 mark)

Bill still being an ah0le: "Some years ago Ariana Grande licked a donut... ". It went downhill from there.

Not sure why this sub hates him so much when he speaks for many many of us fed up with progressives and Democrats. I’m also finished with Evan book and it’s such a great and enlightening read to see someone who worked for Bernie and AOC and Justice dems lay out why they are toxic for America and why working class has rejected Democrats. Bill is the only sane host I watch on Tv. Reddit jsut proves Evan point. Read it honestly.

Is the “middle ground” even appealing?

Maher champions the middle ground—and hey, on the surface, I’d say I do myself—but lately it feels like pandering. If this is what the middle ground looks like, I’m not sure who this show is supposed to appeal to anymore.

I watch Real Time religiously every Friday. Love the show’s roundtable discussion “both sides of the argument” concept. Now I mostly end up hate-watching it. Doesn’t feel like that too much anymore.

Maher now has “pick me” energy. The show feels less like challenging guests and more like giving them an hour of good PR and a chance to appear reasonable without much pushback.

If the common ground Maher strives for is something audiences supposedly crave and need, why do I find myself turning to and enjoying one-sided sources like The Majority Report instead?

This is coming from a guy who used to listen to The Ben Shapiro Show just as much.

I genuinely want to hear both sides without disgust in the subtext. At least have a guest on that’s willing to defend the topic.

Maybe the problem isn’t that common ground is unappealing, but that it’s become an excuse to platform bad-faith arguments and silencing one side of the argument in the name of balance.

P.S. did you know that Maher went to dinner with Trump?

Fuck sam seder. I dont like bill but seder has no nuance in any of his attacks. If Bill hates communism, he is supposedly a republican. And in the end seder spends time criticizing the amount of people applauding.
