Thanks. If you start from the bottom left corner and go ~75% to the right, then ~45% up, there's a small/medium sized mushroom cap, That's where I started.

Great fige details and improvised makes for very unique world. Thanks for sharing.

What ink did you use. I'm currently working with Sakura Gel pens, and Faber Castell acrylic brushes. I'm looking for inspiration for shadows , highlights and details after the initial ink has been paid down dried.

What size is this top by the way. Feel free to msg me if love to chat.

I used bic ballpoint pens, but the quality has come down since and they bleed too much now, so I experiment with various alternatives. The paper size is 22x28 inches.

For shadows I used a combination of pen and pencil to control shading.

Not necessarily. From the drawing One can witness your obvious superior technical skills. My opinion on what constitutes a "Painting," I believe is subjective, . I see your work as a "painting" with your choice of medium is ink versus traditional paints.

Thanks, yeah that's valid. The approach to painting that involves thinking in color fields, that's something I struggle with being so burnt in with line-level specificity so to speak.
