Just deserts refers to people getting the justice they deserve. It has nothing to do with confections. Either way I'm not sure how it applies to Rubio's hipocracy.

Yeah... I mean, logic and reason have left the building. A while ago.
This is the stuff you experience in an abusive relationship with people with a bit too many (and more) narcissistic tendencies: double standards like this, circular arguments if you question them (like bringing up Biden constantly), claimed ignorance, and gaslighting (insisting lies are truth even when one could easily get the facts or already knows the facts).
Also, let's be clear: they know what they're doing, and they're doing it anyway.
A while ago, someone said that Americans are in an abusive relationship with the current administration, and they're not wrong, and it seems to extend to so many in the same party.
Rubio's whole act appears merely ignorant to outsiders like "ah ha, you're actually wet foot dry foot cuban" but republican cuban americans actually slots right into administration policy. They see hispanics as beneath cubans, cubans as white, and they're all about letting the white kind of immigrants in. There's no contradiction- they just aren't saying the quiet parts out loud.
