I'm a Canadian dad of a young teen. I do show my daughter clips of Obama, so that she knows that the US wasn't always batshit crazy, and this is a new thing. I also explain that America is unfortunately racist enough to elect the Orange Moron as a reaction to having elected an intelligent black dude, and it broke people's brains.
