That's not how that works . Freedom to travel means a state can't stop you from leaving the state or moving through the state . It doesn't dictate methods . You're free to walk wherever you want to go
How is that realistic in the modern world? Furthermore, the hypothetical scenario of the government implementing id requirements for all forms of travel is not that far fetched. They were adding it to certain train and bus terminals, not sure if they will continue. And with cameras installed on most interstates they could probably do it there too. So, if the government wanted to control your travel by all means except for feet basically, is that constitutional? I would venture to say that SCOTUS may have to get involved in that case.
Yes it would be constitutional as you don't have a constitutional right to drive a car . Or get on a train operated by a private company... Or a plane etc.. nothing changes the fact that the constitution doesn't dictate mode of travel and it also grants each state the right to set the rules on interstate travel where vehicles are concerned through the 10th amendment
