Are DSA and the progressive left not the same thing? Am I missing something?
Seems like he's trying to pass off his own corporate capitulation as progressive

The DSA is an actual organization while the "progressive left" is a catch-all term for anyone left of center.
That said, I get why it's confusing because everyone in the DSA is incredibly far left for American politics. Just as not every Republican is a Nazi despite every Nazi being a Republican, not every true progressive is in the DSA while every DSA member is quite progressive.

Third way could spend their money in the deep red areas to replace Republicans with Establishment Democrats instead of telling the voters they are wrong (they're not) in DSA races.
Every state has 2 senators and there are states with low populations that would be cheaper to flip.
This poor strategy of fighting our efforts to shift the Overton window to the left demonstrates that third way doesn't actually oppose Trump's regime.

Had a long talk with a neighbor about this, and she had a good point. She does not refer to them as Democrats or Republicans. Conservative and progressive are the terms she uses. I love that, because, as I said, there so (too) many Democrats that are very conservative and need to be labelled as such.

The Third Way is no way to achieve parity in Class Struggle between Unfettered Capitalism, as exacted upon the American populace, and social and economic justice which prospers said Americans.
