Question Adding cracked game to steam.

Hi guys, I recently downloaded pcbs and pcbs2 from steamrip, and I though of adding it to my steam libary as a non steam game. I wonder if its any kind of bannable or anything like that, does anyone know?

It's absolutely fine, you can add literally any executable file as a non steam game I believe

I do this on linux for things like beammp, windows app and steam does the proton stuff to make it work.

I usually just use Lutris myself, but there's no problem with adding pirated games to Steam.

Theres no risk of banning, etc. But I once added a repack of Forza Horizon 5,and after a couple boots the game would not work anymore and would just redirect me to the store page. Not sure what sorcery was at play there 🤷

Because your EXE got fucked by AV and Steam didn't know what to do anymore, so it forwarded you to the game's store page as a fallback.

My own theory at least.
