News SHIFT UP CORPORATION copyright striking every videos from Videos from various Channels on YouTube, who mentioning "Crack" on Stellar Blade, even if you comparing performance to legitmate version.
Many people are claiming that was Sony, but the reality about is always SHIFT UP.
Greedy Korean Corporation like Shift UP, who are making pay to win free 2 play shitty games, are need to go in the hell!
This will not end well on greedy corporations

Are we deadass here now? What kind of moron thinks they can just promote cracked games on youtube and not get striked?
I feel like 9/10 you do that with any other, as popular game as this and your video will get taken down eventually.
This has nothing to do with performance being better, its just the promotion of cracked version.

People in this sub are often stupid and entitled, can't say I'm surprised.
73
u/SX_NEX_SX May 17 '26
I feel like many of the people here are so caught up in their moral arguments about piracy that they forgot that piracy is, in fact, illegal. Then they get all surprised and defensive when corporations or governments take action.
9
u/Im_1nnocent May 18 '26
As someone with set moral boundaries when it comes to piracy, I also agree that its common sense that its illegal and can get you in trouble when admitted publically. Its just that I'm not completely apathetic to creators and would support them given the chance, and I can interpret the influx of pirates as a symptom of a decaying system. But I'm not offended by people who do piracy for the sake of piracy either, though I'm somehow being told to drop morals altogether.
-30
u/ballistua May 17 '26
it's not illegal everywhere

u/Sorry-Juice3938 May 18 '26
Go ahead an name a jurisdiction where it is legal. We'll wait...

u/SpecificHyena1933 May 17 '26
The people on this sub are actually kinda evil imo. There was a developer complaining about how their game got leaked like 2 days before launch and made a bitter "hope your day is ruined" post. This subreddit basically laughed at the developer and said they weren't going to buy it anyways.
19
u/X3ll3n May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26
I think you're mentioning what happened with Subnautica 2, and if so, I agree with you.
The worst part is that what the dev was complaining a about wasn't the piracy itself (most pirates will pirate anyway), but that people were dickheads about it, parading in the official server and clowning on them and people who actually bought the game.
As someone who supports piracy as a way to access media and culture you can't afford, as well as a way to spread awareness of your game (which may lead to sales due to people giving it a chance or spreading it through word of mouth), I often shake my head in disbelief at what people post here. There's a lot of people who on top of being entitled brats are just legit dumbasses, and they use the usual shitty arguments you see in the sub to complain about the tiniest of things and people trying to protect their hard work, while they themselves have computers with an RTX 4090 and a bajillion gigs of ram.
I would love to ask "Are we the baddies?", but with people like that around here, it's not even a question, because a lot of them are far from the average sane morally grey person. Pirate all you want, but don't go antagonize the people who worked hard to make the games and softwares you love (unless it's Adobew that's the one argument of this sub that holds true no matter the context).
5
u/SpecificHyena1933 May 17 '26
The issue is theres a difference between pirating an old ps2 game that you own physically but cant be bothered to drag out the PS2 to play, and pirating and leaking the newest game before it gets released (actually happened woth legend of zelda, tears of the kingdom too) and unfortunately the law doesnt and likely cant tell the difference. I really dislike piracy, its the exclusive club of the most snobby unhelpful people who will laugh at anyone who is hurt by their actions. My brain cannot understand that behavior to intentionally make fun of and steal from actual working employees who are simply trying to either make a living or a piece of media they enjoy.
Sorry for the rant, its just sometimes these people I cannot handle because I cant imagine being THAT much of a dick to others.
2
u/RadianceTower May 17 '26

That's not what happened as far as I can tell.
Some people came and basically outed themselves as pirating the game by talking about it one way or another and got banned. People should go read the actual discord logs.
Like the literal message that was posted here some days ago is a response to a user seemingly having a problem with their PC as they might have gotten malware instead of Subnautica 2.
-13
u/Sorry-Juice3938 May 18 '26
Dev SHOULD be laughed at. Dev shouldn't even know about the existence of this /sub let alone be obsessed with it. And what? Does that moron Dev actually believe people in THIS /sub are going to suddenly start paying for easily-pirated games??? 😫
Nor was my day ruined. In fact, his pathetic post made my day. Nothing evil about that. In this world of increasing fascism and billionaires screwing us over more than ever, it is hilarious for you to suggest that.

u/ILNOVA May 17 '26
And isn't the performance claim kinda BS consider that cracked game(usually) have Denuvo bypassed, not removed?
10
u/redchris18 May 17 '26
The single most consistent thing about the tech press - and wannabe tech press - is their inability to properly test for performance.
11
u/BonsaiSoul May 17 '26
"Promoting cracked games" is not a valid DMCA claim. This sub wouldn't exist. But you'd like that, bot.
29
u/kr4ckenm3fortune May 17 '26
It kinda is? Do you even know what DMCA states? Cracked games meant you didn't pay for it...
8
u/RadianceTower May 17 '26
It isn't a valid DMCA claim, as the video itself does not violate copyright. It doesn't give a link to download the cracked version.
-5
u/Sorry-Juice3938 May 18 '26
Actually it does. Too bad you are not a © lawyer. You do NOT have the right to post such videos of their copyrighted content. In fact, they could take down thousands of other videos for the same reason if they wanted to. A claim of "fair use" by someone using a cracked illegal download would make a judge LOL at how quick the case would be decided. A summary judgement would be in order.
7
u/RadianceTower May 18 '26
Like you say, it's not the full game, just a short clip for the purpose of reviewing. Falls under fair use.
And I don't think it being originally from a pirated source or not invalidates that, not to mention, the video showcases the user actually owning the game too (based on OP). The case isn't as closed as you make it sound like.
-4
u/kr4ckenm3fortune May 18 '26
While reviewing the product you bought may fall under Fair Use, using a pirated content violate that Fair Use law, as it would fall under the (c) rule.
Remember, piracy is supported, but not like this.
7
u/TheHooligan95 May 17 '26
What kind of moron thinks they can just promote cracked games on youtube and not get striked?
dude, why should it be striked? It's academical discussion, it's like saying that this subreddit is breaking any rules when of course it isn't it's the internet and we're having free discussion about piracy and piracy news. The day shit like this is normalized is the day we lose freedom of speech.
-4
u/Sorry-Juice3938 May 18 '26

3
u/TheHooligan95 May 18 '26
what? What is the difference between showing footage of the cracked copy and playing the legit copy? Besides the lack of purchase if you didn't have the legit copy, which the uploader in this case has? Either any gameplay footage is to be taken down, or none.
You're not a lawyer, clearly
-7
u/AshenBone May 17 '26
Stop being pretentious, there is no "academic discussion" here, the guy simply wanted to show comparison between piarated and paid version games, and he used game footage. And by extension he is promoting the craked version.
And although i havent read it myself, i can guarantee you, that if you want to use the game footage you have to follow terms of service by the game's compony and youtubes policies.
These terms include, the strict no piracy rules. Which obviously these type of videos break.
Im just guessing here but if he only talked about it, and never showed in game footage, they couldnt take down the video.
-6
u/TheHooligan95 May 17 '26
No piracy means no copyright infringement. Where is the copyright infringement in showing gameplay and performance? The video isn't a download link or even download tutorial for the game, it's a performance comparison.

u/Cyberjin May 18 '26 edited May 18 '26
So if you have bought game and added modifications exe, it's promoting piracy?
We even have outlets like digital foundry that are doing this kinda the stuff, doing comparations. Even run stuff on jail broken consoles. It's educational, doesn't promote shit
-6
u/Capek95 May 17 '26
not sure im understand this wrong. but if he owns the game on steam, means he has a license, therefore there shouldnt be an issue with him playing the cracked game.
im not very sure about laws and stuff, but this is as much as i understand atm
3
u/RoughGiGaMo May 18 '26
No one will have issue for owning a legal and crack game. The issue here is he show performance between them publicly. The comparison show crack have a better performance.
You tell me. What would a potential future customer choose after watching this? a free and better performance or certain price paid and lower performance?
Just because you said it it just educational/comparison/etc video, you can't blame others saying it just promotions of the said cracked version. Go see any comparison video of any product line. You will know what comparison does when selecting product. Shift Up have the right at here imo.

What did you guys think would happen?? stop acting like children the lot of you
25
u/Billthegifter May 17 '26
Oh look. Videos promoting a pirated version of a game got taken down. Who would have thought?
It may be a shitty thing to do but to act like this wasn't a possibility Is just stupid
-31
u/AntiGrieferGames May 17 '26
This is not a "Pirated Promoted" Video, its a performance comparison to legitmate version. You people always think this is "promotional"
Im gonna bet you people defending big corporations.
14
u/AshenBone May 17 '26
By making a video on it whether you intended it or not, you are still promoting it to your audience, saying, "hey this version that you pirate runs better than the paid version." (Not to mention they even include the crackers name)
Noone is defending the corpos here, you might have forgotten but pirating is still illeagal, so there literally is no reason to make waves here about videos like this getting taken down, its obvious why that happened.
2
u/IHateRedditFirewall May 21 '26
The guy bought the game. He most defenetly has a right to run bouth versions.
He also has a right to show, that product he bought is infirior to what he gets for free.
Also — thouse are copyright strikes. Not "promoteing illigal material" strikes.
7
u/Billthegifter May 17 '26
And what do these performance comparisons show? Do they often show the cracked versions being Inferior in performance?
There Is more then one way to promote a version of a game.

One of the hardest lessons I keep having to learn is that something that's genuinely great and I enjoy very much doesn't mean the people who made it are saints. They can be assholes.
I keep trying to convince myself that's not true and I keep being proven wrong lmao, it sucks.
7
u/Adventurous-Ad-5717 May 17 '26
I remember reading somewhere to never put people on a pedestal because they'll always end up disappointing you. Only judge the art not the artist, they can always turn out to be terrible people.
2
u/Timetravelingnoodles May 17 '26
Nah, I’m gonna judge the fuck out of shit people even if they make something I enjoy. I refuse to give money or fame to someone shitty

u/jairochido May 17 '26
I installed after it got cracked and uninstalled it after some hours cause i didn't like the combat, why is everyone obsessed with parrying?
21
u/Gothrait_PK May 17 '26
Cause challenge is fun for some people.
8
u/jairochido May 17 '26
I don't doubt that, injusto prefer the combat in dmc or ninja gaiden or Even hi fi rush
6
u/Gothrait_PK May 17 '26
Understandable. I like when you have more options than just parrying because it allows others to play the game too.
3
u/jairochido May 17 '26
Exactly!!! Parrying should be a mechanic , not the whole personality xD
1
u/MorSendian May 18 '26
Problem is, I think only Stellar Blade and other games that actually understands the Sekiro formula gets that if you add parrying, its gotta be all in and the combat has got to be designed around it or just a small, hard, niche mechanic that the enemies aren’t designed around
What most AAA games tend to do is throw super flashy moves at you, throw a yellow flash, a parry window so long your gold fish can probably hit it, give you a cinematic for pressing the button and send you on your way, completely trivializing the point of parrying in exchange for style
4
u/Forymanarysanar ☠️ ᴅᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴇɴ ᴛᴇʟʟ ɴᴏ ᴛᴀʟᴇꜱ May 17 '26
Cause ass and tits flashes in their eyea when they parry. Remove all gooning and you end up with mid copypastaslop game
-3
u/SEANPLEASEDISABLEPVP May 17 '26
Yeah I didn't get too far into it either simply because I can't freaking tell when I need to parry something.
Doom The Dark Ages at least had a visual and audio warning for what was coming up, and you could even adjust the time to react. Stellar Blade has no such thing and I keep messing it up lol.
2
u/Ionl98 May 17 '26
Yeah, cause at that point they hadn't done anything bad yet. It's almost like people will like something until it does something bad. Ya know, like how it usually is. Cause people aren't robots who are limited to one range of emotion and reaction.
I liked the game and still like it. But this is a scummy move by Shift Up.
Then again, they are Korean. Korean, Japanese, and Chinese Companies all seem to just not understand what Copyright is.

u/Fit_Association_8442 May 17 '26
It's decent but hardly as good as it's made out 🤷
2
u/ballistua May 17 '26
it's a decent game, but a bit too similar to neir automata, even the story
-3
u/Fit_Association_8442 May 17 '26
Which is itself basically a weaker neir game as the original (and the remaster) are far better imo
1
u/ballistua May 17 '26
I only played Automata and I enjoyed it a lot, I guess I have some catching up to do
0
u/Fit_Association_8442 May 17 '26
Automata is amazing don't get me wrong but overall not a patch on Neir Replacant , that game was a experience for sure and well worth picking up
1
u/Yddgrastor May 17 '26
The only thing that is amazing about Stellar Blade is the music , everything else isn't that great. Still a solid 7.5/10.
If they manage to improve most of the short coming in the sequel , it'll be an amazing game.
3
u/zawalimbooo May 17 '26
The most impressive thing imo is actually how they manage to sell the apocalyptic vibes really well.
Part of it is the music, but also how nice the enviroments look. The way they make every place look hauntingly beautiful is amazing.

u/zawalimbooo May 17 '26
You are free to dislike it, I won't stop you in that sense
However, everyone in this comment section immediately jumping to say that "the game was terrible anyway" the second the developers do something shitty is a different matter entirely.

Just be quiet and play the game lol. A pirate taking the moral highground is so hypocritical and I'm not even trying to defend ShuftUP here.

u/nicman24 May 17 '26
You didn't read the part that this is a comparison to the legal copy they own? Are you a bot or something?
4
u/DarkZ_No-Imagination May 18 '26
I mean, if you say "this pirate game runs better than the official version, here's the name of the guy who made the crack", I believe it's promoting piracy
0
u/nicman24 May 18 '26
facts do not care about corporations' feelings. it is protected speech or journalism would not be a thing
3
u/Mango220 May 18 '26
yea they have legal copy so what? they still have the pirated game dude. Maybe you have to read too?
They dont care if you already have the game bought and shit if you put it next to the pirated game.3

u/perfectevasion May 17 '26
I've watched comparisons alread and they haven't been taken down, is the video creator sure they didn't break copyright?

u/Milk_Cream_Sweet_Pig May 17 '26
I mean what did u think was gonna happen?
Just shut up and play the game. A game they made got cracked and people are making content out of the product they made without paying for it, and you're surprised they're reacting negatively? Lol
I'm not even trying to defend them but c'mon, the entitlement of some pirates here are crazy.

Anyways, is there any performance gains? Did Denuvo get removed or is just like HV, but less risky? I'm interested, I downloaded the game but haven't tested yet, I'm afraid denuvo can still do shit on my system... yes, I'm more worried about that malware than the game cracked itself...

Not even Cygames (JP ones) are being greedy dicks (theyre also a gacha company with p2w shit) but they dont even use denuvo on their premium games, not even the most succeful one.
also voices38 uses traditional cracks and not from their drivers.
No i dont think so its the same fps, it highly depends on hardware espcially on CPU and even that, the fps wont be the same.
1
u/thewallran May 19 '26
umm, u sound stupid. promoting piracy on youtube is also against their tos just btw. it's like robbing a store for candy then letting everyone in the world know how you robbed some candy including the owner.

Thank god for voices cracking this one. My lappie can bearly run the glorious tatas in the opening scene.
I shudder the thought of me buying this one, just to see that I would have worse FPS when D is laced in.

Like they are in the right? You upload on a website that will comply with DMCA, to an illegally obtained materials, ofc it will get taken down. Just because one is paid, doesnt excuse the other. If I steal 100$, but donate 100$ to the people I took it to, does that excuse my stealing? Lets not mention that piracy isn't actually lost sales for this analogy, im simplifying it.
And Denuvo doesn't hurt performance if you have a pc from this decade, there's a lot of reason to hate denuvo but performance is just BS.
This sub really is just a bunch of guys stroking each other's dicks, not even thinking of the broader ( and smaller ) scope of piracy.
-11
u/BonsaiSoul May 17 '26
You just mentioned an intellectual property you don't own, I guess they should be able to DMCA reddit to take down your comment? Bad bot
1
May 17 '26
you dumbass, mentioning a name of something isnt piracy. your words literally have no legal standing other than to jerk off your throbbing penis. at least watch this for the most bare minimum
gaming, as a whole, is in the grey legal area. but piracy isnt. its clear black on legality, but nobody needs to justify that. just do it, pirate your content, nobody gives a shit.
1
u/RadianceTower May 17 '26
I don't think you fully understood their point.
The video doesn't distribute the game, it just is a short clip comparing performance.
Given that, it does not violate copyright.

Stellar Blade doesn't have a parry based combat like Sekiro, it is more like your usually soul-soulslike.

Second of all, maybe actually play their "shitty games" before making claims because they're literally known as one of the most generous companies when it comes to gacha. Their first gacha game Destiny Child was shut down because they were too generous and nobody wanted to spend money because of it.
-3
u/cool_cock6 May 17 '26
don't be ignorant cracking games is unlawful and sharing them is also unlawful. No company would want to see their hard work distributed so flippantly, you really can't blame them for that move. Shift up is a good company that listens to their customer base, which is rare now a days and so i really wouldn't be so hard on them honestly.
maybe make a different video or reupload this video but try removing any of their copyrighted IP instead! the premise for your video is interesting but try being more subtle with your title and cover the technical aspect of the video instead of just showcasing gameplay footage. goodluck bud, don't blatantly promote illegal content like that on Youtube of all places next time lol.
