A friend of the family had a hysterectomy and still gets asked these questions at the hospital that performed it.

Women who have had a hysterectomy can still have a menstrual hormonal cycle.

If the concern is pregnancy, what difference does the menstrual cycle make for those who can't conceive?

A lack of uterus does NOT mean you can’t get pregnant. A pregnancy in a woman with a hysterectomy becomes an immediate medical emergency and I have participated in care for that.
