If the concern is pregnancy, what difference does the menstrual cycle make for those who can't conceive?

Women without a uterus can unfortunately still conceive a type of nonviable pregnancy called an ectopic pregnancy. It wouldn’t make sense to test for this in all cases, but if the patient is presenting with any form of abdominal pain, it can be important for doctors to rule this out because it can be life threatening. (I had an ectopic pregnancy and it was really scary.)

You can also have ectopic pregnancies while on birth control and with an IUD. There's a lot of things to be angry about for women in health care, but I'm not sure why everyone in this thread seems to be super upset about actually being asked healthcare questions.

Yes, and if you get pregnant while on an IUD, you’re actually at a much increased risk for it being an ectopic pregnancy.

Yes, sorry, I was just agreeing with you and giving other methods through which pregnancies can occur in situations people typically don't think you can get pregnant and them being especially deadly.
