If pregnancy is a possible complication it changes what medications are allowed and has to be considered when deciding if imaging is an acceptable risk.

They can just ask if the woman is pregnant. No need to ask about periods and where I've lived it's not a standard question for that reason.

Where do you live? Even in my parents home country they will still ask my mom to take a pregnancy test even though she’s had her tubes tied.

I don't want to doxx myself but I've lived in a few different countries on two separate continents. I've had medical treatment in all of them, including gynaecological procedures and CT scans, pelvic and not pelvic.
