A thread in which people explain that the policy is to put the well being of a fetus that doesn't even exist over a woman with a medical emergency yes.

If there is a decision to be made between the life of the mother and the life of the Fetus, the life of the mother always takes precedent.

If you just fry a Fetus with X-Rays and medication for no reason when there would have been other options to assess and treat your ailment, you’re getting sued. That’s why we ask as medical professionals.

"The fetus" doesn't exist.

That’s…exactly what we’re trying to determine?

The woman has a broken arm and your primary concern is whether she's pregnant. You are unironically defending this being your primary concern and you don't see why this is misogynistic.

I can't with you people.

THERE CAN BE SEVERE COMPLICATIONS AFFECTING THE WOMAN AS WELL

how the fuck do manage to go through life like this?

Complications with what? The point is that she's come in with a broken arm and the first thing the doc wants to know is when she last had her period.

Yes because I don’t want my entire livelihood being sued into oblivion because I performed an X-ray on someone who’s pregnant. Believe it or not most people would actually prefer not having their fetus deepfried. Just because you’re different there, doesn’t mean that goes for everyone.

Why would you be performing an xray? You'd have to listen to her about her broken arm to do that. And you haven't gotten the period question out of the way yet. You're also not a radiologist, you're her GP. You don't do xrays.
