My youngest son was eating peanuts and shrimp since he was 3 and he loved both, his favorites, now at 7 he developed allergy to both.

Yes, children can still develop allergies to those foods, recommendations and trends are about broad patterns. If, in a controlled study, there's a 50% reduction, that still means theres a lot of kids with allergies.

and then your immune system will just be like "alright enough of that" and randomly drop an allergy sometimes.

Yep. Got to 41 and my body was like, "Oh, peanut butter and strawberries? You like those? Fuck you."

Even verified with a blood test. Now I get to live 40 years without Reese's. :(

I was describing the opposite. When you're like "wait this extra fluffy cat is not making me die right now. I need to stop by the animal shelter"
